Our take

Based on the ratings of 135 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in January 2025. No course pays to be reviewed.

This is a lecture-based overview of how a hospital works, from EDUCBA, a large training provider that publishes thousands of courses. It has 75 lectures across six sections and about 10 hours of video. The biggest chunks go to ICU management (21 lectures) and nursing services (19), with shorter sections on hospital standards, outpatient clinics and operation theaters. It is pitched at newcomers, students and clinicians curious about management, and the requirements ask for little more than interest in healthcare.

Reviewers mostly like it. Of 135 ratings, 71 are five stars and 34 are four. Praise centers on content that is informative, explained in a simple way and good on the basics of hospital administration. The complaints are specific. Several learners found the accent tiring or hard to follow and wanted a clearer voice, and one wanted more US material. Another asked for a printable glossary per section, and one reported a video playing out of order. There are no quizzes or exercises, so it is all watching.

The course was last updated in January 2025 and has a small audience of 554 students, so check how its standards and regulations match your country. Treat it as a map, not a manual. It suits someone deciding whether hospital administration is for them, or a student who needs the vocabulary before deeper study. Anyone already running a unit will want more depth and local rules than a cursory overview gives.

Best forStudents and early-career staff who want a broad map of hospital departments, especially nursing and ICU.
Skip it ifYou want quizzes or case work, or you find heavily accented English tiring to follow for hours.

it is a good match and i am grasping the lecture and narrowing it down to what i need from it.

By Derek E. Martin on 11/23/2025

Very detailed but some areas of explanation could be better presented with a clearer voice for an English ear. Additionally, each section should offer a printable glossary for review. But overall, the section is broken down nicely with an overview of the material and with cursory explanations that cover the array of the subjects in each topic in some meaningful and useful detail.
