excellent teacher, very clear instructions and full of information .I had singing lessons in the 80s with Arnold Rose in London, and this course reminded me of that kind of professionalism and quality information. Highly recommend this course and I will be practicing the techniques knowing they are based on sound advice.

Cathy Vard's years of experience as a vocalist and vocal coach are evident in her approach to teaching students how to sing. I was helped by each lesson, and she's given me a foundation to build on for months and years to come. Many thanks to the teacher, and I recommend the course to those seeking a way into singing better, or to vocalists who deal with vocal strain.

Clear, Easy to watch and understand, I can see how it would be helpful to beginners. I am an amateur singer but I have watched a lot of videos and done a lot of different vocal warm ups. So far I am not learning anything new or particularly useful. For more experienced singers looking for new techniques or exercises to try, another course might be better. Still Going to continue with the course.

I have tried out lots of vocalist training coaches and they like to call themselves " VOICEMASTERS" Wow I think I see Puff the magic dragon. Seriously Cathy Vard is so good in her presentation of music. She makes me feel so motivated in my singing endeavors. I wish I could thank her in person for the huge amount of progress I have made so far with the singing courseware. Keep it coming... :)

Cathy Vard is Absolutely Awesome! I LOVE her clear teaching of the Anatomy & Physiology of the Body... and Mind.. which empowered me to fully and visually understand their role in optimizing my Vocal Instrument! The way Cathy explains in detail the important relationship and interplay between the Mind, Body...'Spirit' and Emotions to optimize your Vocal 'Approach and Ability'...and then shows you how to put it all together with clever exercises to empower you to optimize your Vocal Performance is Phenomenal! I'm so glad I took this singing course!

Yes, I already have prior practical experience being part of a choir - yet I believe this contents of this course should help me to unlock some "ceilings" that I have had in my singing abilities - namely, tension in recordings, inability to emote ... the entire holistic understanding of what it means to sing - that shift away from vocal technicalities ... A proper warm-up and how to loosen up, the holistic way of preparing for singing etc. these were really helpful. There is a very concise explanation and progression from theoretical aspects to practical implications. Will be very useful for me as I continue on in my choir journey!

I'm a hobby singer doing covers of songs I love and I have had some experience with choirs and the stereotypical school band, but I have never had lessons and feel I could improve my voice a lot. So I bought this course and I am floored. For it being close to 90 minutes, it's amazing. I've learned so much - some stuff I already knew, especially the anatomical parts because I'm in the medical profession, but it was so good to see everything in one place and having the connections explained. Some very easy principles like in the one exercise to "think vertically" when I have always been told to think forward has changed my voice (or so I feel when I compare two tracks I recorded before and after the course) dramatically, and all the breathing and exercises and just the general knowledge that was so easily yet detailed explained by Cathy have made a huge improvement to my singing. And I'm not even saying this lightly, I always had issues with what I recorded, but this track right after this course, I'm perfectly happy with. Wow. Thanks, Cathy! Wish I lived in Ireland to get personal lessons :)

excellent match, learning a great deal. Brilliant, I have struggled with many concepts of singing, and going through this just once has improved my knowledge and has given me heaps more confidence. I now understand so much more. I actually found the vocal exercises worked beautifully when I put everything together. I shall be watching this course many times to make sure all the concepts stick. It is well worth the time and effort. I highly recommend this.

I have an amateur background in singing where many of the points the teacher has talked about were expressed to me, but I never understood why they were important or where the origin of the tension was. I’m looking forward to learning more about the vocal instrument and how I can improve as well as what to look for during performance and rehearsal.

Highly recommend this course, have been using another udemy course for a couple years and after completing this course I realized how much superior this is compared to the other. Clear explanations of the body teaches you to recognize your body as an entire instrument, and to make corrections accordingly. Would have been 5 full stars had there been an even lower octave available within the eight exercise's, and #8 felt quite advanced.Really appreciated how there are four pdf notes packed with REAL information. Thankful I found this on reddit ha.
