Course Description

Hello everyonewelcome! My name is John Wang. This is our very first Mandarin Chinese class. We will use the book Integrated Chinese. Here it is. I have been teaching Chinese for over 10 years. This is one of the best Chinese textbooks I have ever used. Thats why I choose the textbook for this video course. It is widely used in schools in the US and other countries. It improves your listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Chinese is not hard. In my opinion, it is very easy. I saythat, not because I am a Chinese (yeah, ofcourseI am). It is because I teach many years, many classes and many many students, I know how. Following me, it is not hard!
In addition,Iwill not only help you learnChinese, but tounderstand and know the culture ofChinaas well. So far, over 4000 students have registered and they love my class. Why not go to lesson one right now !
Plus, right now, I have released the new course of Level 1 Part 2. To express my respect, I put eight of my new course videos here for free. Thank you and see you soon!(This course is based on the 3nd edition of the textbook. But all the Dialogues and vocabulary are almost the same as the 4th edition)Who this course is for:

Instructor Details

John Wang

Hi, I am John Wang. I have been teaching Chinese online and offline since 2005.
When I started teaching, I taught at a local university and many private language schools. I love the language and culture so much that I decided to start my own Mandarin school in 2010.
I have to say that most Mandarin schools are still using the old traditional Chinese methods of teaching foreigners. The old methods are still being used in Chinese primary schools and even kindergartens. This is obviously not correct. As adults, we need tolearn in an adult way. We need logical explanations and professional guidance.
Getting the interest of the student is the best way to start teaching Mandarin. Lets start learning Mandarin the way I have found is best and which I know that works. Believe me, if you would like to learn Chinese in an easy and interesting way, I am here waiting for you.

this course is very helpful. while taking Chinese courses in the past my teachers were female so it is good to hear a man pronouncing the words. it is easier to imitate the sounds that way.

The teacher is very engaged and the structure is very well organized.

The Instructor took each character and gave their meanings separately and some were put together as what we call compound words and that was very good. But there were times when he was doing the translation from Chinese into English I did not follow clearly enough, I think more emphasis should be placed in this area of translating from the chinese to the English.
