ISC2 CCSP Full Course & Practice Exam (2026) (Udemy.com)

Updated for the 2026 CCSP Exam Outline | All 6 Domains Covered + Full Practice Exam

Created by: Jason Dion

Last updated September 2026

Our take

Based on the ratings of 1,286 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in September 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.

Jason Dion's CCSP prep works through all six exam domains in 178 lectures and about 20 hours. It was refreshed on September 2, 2026 to match the new exam outline, so the content is current. Sections are short, usually 6 to 11 lectures, and the course ends with a practice exam. The requirements ask for five years of IT experience, so this is built for working security people, not newcomers to the field.

Reviewers like how easy Dion is to follow. They mention short videos aimed at one topic, a quick recap of exam points at the end, and a made-up real-world scenario that closes most videos. One reviewer calls it a bit wordy, since every section opens with an intro that gets repeated, though that reviewer likes the repetition. The complaints are about depth. Two low ratings say it stays on the surface, one comparing it to reading newspaper headlines, and another wants more practical work. One student failed the exam and said the real questions felt different from the course's practice ones.

Only 12 of 1,286 ratings are one or two stars, and 848 are five. That points to a course that does its main job well: a clear, organized first pass at the material. It probably shouldn't be your only resource, though. One reviewer suggests pairing it with the official practice test book and leaving three weeks for practice tests. Another says the practice exam stopped being available the day after they finished the lectures.

Best forWorking security pros who want a tidy, domain-by-domain first pass at the 2026 CCSP outline.
Skip it ifYou want deep technical examples or hands-on labs, or plan to lean on one source for exam questions.

Pros

  • Short videos on single topics, with a recap of exam points at the end of each
  • Most lessons close with a made-up real-world scenario that ties the ideas together
  • Sections follow the six CCSP domains, so it pairs easily with a study guide
  • Refreshed in September 2026 for the new exam outline, taught in Dion's clear style

Cons

  • Two reviewers say it stays surface level and lacks in-depth examples
  • No coding exercises, and one reviewer expected more practical training
  • Practice questions may not match the real exam; one student failed after using them
I appreciated the short videos zeroing in on specific knowledge targets. A very thorough course with 200 practice questions.
Tom Cooney, a student

Listed for all levels, but it assumes five years of IT work and some cloud and security background.

Speaker is easy to understand, the topics are crisply divided and explained, with just enough rementioning to help remember some concepts (hypervisor types) This course made me change my professional development map to address the CCSP certification now. Excellent course, Definite Recommend.

By Bhuban Mohan Mishra on 8/23/2026

Makes learning easier and more consistent through logically organized sections and repetition that help to grasp and revise concepts. I believe this will also support long-term memory retention, along with JIT use for actual implementations.

By Michael Popovich on 6/1/2026

Excellent course... A bit wordy at times since each section leads with an intro video that contains a quite a bit of detail which is then rehashed at the beginning of each relevant video. Personally, I like this since there's sometimes a gap of when I start/finish a section. (Those who watch entire sections at a time may not like how verbose this feels.) I like how the end of each video quickly rehashes the important points to remember for the exam. I love how a majority of the videos end with a quick "putting all the concepts together" in a fictitious real-world scenario. For those who are new to specific domains/areas, this helps glue concepts together. Also, there's no substitute for real world experience, so make sure you internalize what you learn while you work. This video course will help glue the concepts together and prepare you for the exam. -------- To others who come after me... I passed the exam today. Looking back on my journey, I'd recommend that you to take several practice tests (from different vendors) and work with an AI assistant to generate questions that are representative of the level of difficulty of the actual exam questions (which tend to be more judgement-based versus memory-based). -------- For Brandon, it would be a huge service if you provided a handful of videos that present judgement-based questions (MOST, BEST, CHEAPEST, etc.) that come down to narrowing to and choosing the most appropriate of 2 answers along with your mindset and rationalization. This could help a lot of people avoid the exam-shock that sets in when going from a bunch of memorization-based practice questions to the highly nuanced, scenario-based, judgement-based questions on the exam.

By Paul Morrissey on 5/6/2026

the training is great. The practice test was available the day i finished the training for one session. as soon as i logged out and logged back in the next day the practice exam is no longer available.

By Abel Fouopi Lemouchele on 4/24/2026

This course is exceptionally well structured and very easy to follow. I really appreciate how it uses real-world scenarios, making the content practical and engaging. The way it connects tools across different platforms like Azure, Amazon, and Google is especially valuable. The practice questions feel a bit on the easier side, but I’ll be able to better assess that after taking the exam. That said, I’m very satisfied with the course and will definitely be purchasing more if I successfully earn my certifications. I’ll be sure to come back and update this review once I’ve passed!

By Bianca Reynolds on 3/6/2026

This was an excellent course for CCSP preparation. Brandon does a great job of breaking down complex cloud security concepts into clear, understandable explanations. The material aligns well with the exam objectives and helped reinforce key concepts. There is also a lot of real world examples provided that can be used on the job.

By Eric M on 2/4/2026

This is a great in-depth course and the presenter is great at explaining the concepts of the CSSP exam but this course alone is not enough to pass the exam. I would back it up with JUST ONE good text book and coming up with your own quiz questions/flash cards. Concentrate on your understanding of the concepts rather than your ability to pass the practice exam and you will be set.

By Gerald Ayikobua on 1/23/2026

Great course with content well structured, though instructor speaks very fast content is very useful and he is extremely knowledgeable. You just need to take your time and keep reviewing the contents shared, pause when necessary and keep taking notes through the class. I will look for more of his classes.

By Leerenzo Goodlow on 1/21/2026

I took your CISSP course and passed (8/25). I enjoy your style of teaching and how clearly you communicate each topic. Your course does a great job for preparing me for the exam and providing real world applications and example of the exam topics. I feel this course has given me the confidence to start taking additional practice test (scored a 90% 1st attempt on your mock exam). Keep up the great work!

By Ricardo García Reyes on 11/27/2025

Me gustó mucho, la explicación está muy buena. El material de ISC me parecía muy revuelto y aburrido. No sé si voy a pasar el examen y seguiré estudiando, pero por lo pronto me gustó mucho el contenido y la forma de presentarse.
