Japanese in 14 Weeks with Scientific Memorization Method- (Udemy.com)

i took japanese classes for a year and i had to stop them because i cannot afford them anymore and also had no time for it on my new job i know hiragana and katakana and some kanjis but i forgot about all the words i hops this class help me remind that and finally have a conversation in japanese!

Very good introductory course for learning Japanese. Students should focus on the method explained in the course (spaced repetition) and follow the schedule that the author laid out (even after finishing the course - learn new words on your own using spaced repetition). Following the schedule takes discipline, which could seem like a chore, however, once you start remembering the words and phrases due to the spaced repetition method you will experience a sense of achievement. Nice pace; I like the practice tips

I did not take the full 14 weeks, because I wanted to see the content available after being put off by the very weak, very short first week of lessons. If I was okay with it, I would "redo" the course properly. For the most part, it was informative; however, it definitely wasn't 14 weeks worth of content. I would say their 4-5 weeks was equivalent to 1 week in a regular course applying the same method.
There were spelling errors here and there, and there were a few parts where the instructor got a little lazy (e.g. "here is time. I will show you how to do seconds and hours, but there is no rhyme or reason for minutes which is very complicated so I am not going to bother covering that." Paraphrasing.). Others complained about not seeing more Kanji or Hiragana, etc., but I liked how they used romanisation spelling because it allowed me as a super-duper beginner to follow along.
Over all, I think the instructor and his team put a lot of effort into this course, but it is still very rough around the edges and could've been better. It just isn't worth the $150 (approx) it originally goes for, especially since the instructor is no longer present based on other feedback. I can barely justify $18 (the discounted price at present) that I got it for. I would be okay with it between $10-$15, but I would have been absolutely livid if I spent $150 (or much more than $15 in general) on this program. I think I will return it and see if I can find a program that is a little more... polished, a little more thorough. I think at the end of writing this review, I've realised how not content I am with it.
But thank you for having taken the time to make this, Steve. I know you're not around, but with a little more content (and no laziness!) and some editing, this would probably be a really fantastic course to take.
If you're ultra-new to Japanese and this is on onee hck of a discount, it might be worth for you to take. But don't buy it at full price or anywhere near full price.

To much rambling

Very good, easy to follow and understand.

Very good course, well explained and paced correctly by not going too in-depth about the nuances of the language and the grammar. It's a very useful platform for beginners, but don't expect to be fluent after this course, it will help you with the basics and allow you to progress.

Normally I try to study Japanese on my own. This is such a more fun way to handle it. Thank you!

He's simple, straight to the point, and understands which parts could be confusing for an English speaker. The charts are amazingly helpful.
