Course Description
Java Spring Framework (Spring Framework) is a popular, open source, enterprise-level framework for creating standalone, production-grade applications that run on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). Java Spring Boot (Spring Boot) is a tool that makes developing web application and micro-services with Spring Framework faster and easier through three core capabilities, mainly its auto-configuration An opinionated approach to configuration.
Spring Boot is an open source Java-based framework used to create a micro Services. It is developed by Pivotal Team and is used to build stand-alone and production ready spring applications. This course will give you an introduction to Spring Boot and familiarize you with its basic concepts. For practice, we will build a Spring Boot REST API that manages employees.
The ability to create standalone applications These features work together to provide you with a tool that allows you to set up a Spring-based application with minimal configuration and setup. Spring security provides authentication and authorization to applications using servlet filters - a security filter chain.
Web applications are susceptible to security threats and attacks, as they are accessible by anyone uses the internet. In this course, we will build a REST API that will expose endpoints having restricted access to specific only authenticated users, for to manage the employees, for creating, updating , editing existing, and deleting employees. We can use spring security to secure URLs. Spring Security is a security framework that secures J2EE-based enterprise applications, by providing powerful, customizable security features like authentication and authorization . It is the de facto standard for securing Spring-based applications.

Wanted to rate after end of course, but midway through I think the course has already exceeded my expectations in many ways. Clear and concise lecture delivered by the instructor and easy to code along too. Codes are generally working (only needed to tweak some to adapt to my set-up & preferences). Would recommend!!

this is a wonderfull course. It goes through a 'true' real world, very complete, back end (springboot - with such a rare spring security jwt implementation) and front end (angular - with highlights on typescript rxjs ) application. The teacher explains everything in an easy way and actually shares a huge amount of knowledge and good practice, also with highly valuable tips and hints usefull for addressing any do I Y later improvement

I coded alongside your videos and made some changes here and there, it was such an amazing course. I definitely learned a lot, it would be great if you could also add couple of videos around setting up a eureka server and an api-gateway for this backend application.

I decided to take the course taking into account that my native language is not English, but Spanish. I would say it was a challenge for me, but I did manage to understand the engineer's explanation. He explains in detail, he helps to understand the concepts. I recommend it to anyone who wants to consolidate their knowledge, it is a very good investment. ¡Thank you!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge in a good way. It's really so good course. Really I learned lots of new things. Could you make a video series with this same angular app and backend spring boot using microservices, security, Eureka, and gateway? seriously it will be more learnable.

First part about back end is really good and shows lots of useful topics like email sending. Teacher explains all step by step. Front end part is not so good and I'll explain why: the html is a copy and paste but is not a real problem; teacher says: "this is not an html course, it's a prerequisite so I assume you know it. " Ok, this is ok, but the way the coach compose the html is totally against Angular principles... it's impossibile to use just ONE component to do everything ! If you use a single html it means that you use a single .ts file... no! This is not good at all. My opinion. Cheers

I thinks this is the real full stack java spring - angular course. Excellent explanation. I got all basic knowledge for build project, especially about security matters. I think all project must be need this. Thanks Mr Rick. I will miss your mechanical keyboard sound (tak..tok..tak..tok) :))

Inspiring! The provided resources as final projects can be misleading because the will be different in the beginning and will be refactored during the code which wil match the end result. Like in reallife situation. Can be confusing thoug. Well it made me look 3 times and turn around the code which is always usefull. So when you are prepared to do the extra mile and this course can teach you a lot of useful stuff which will matter in a profesional enviroment. Great work! Thnx!

This is a great course about Spring Security JWT Auth in a Spring Boot Rest api project! It uses modern technologies being analytic about a lot of things for the subject. Also i have to praise the really helpful and fast replies in a couples questions I have had while trying to build my own project following the course. Update : New section added for Deployment, much appreciated. Looking really forward for future courses of more topics by the author!

The course doesn't really explain in detail how Spring Security works. It doesn't go into any detail about the architecture of spring security and how all the pieces fit together, why you configure things in a certain way and what options are available. As an example, the course shows HOW to protect a REST endpoint with the @PreAuthorize annotation so that only users with particular permissions have access. But there is no explanation of how it actually works, what parameters you can use with the annotation or how you can restrict access to a specific ROLE. This applies to pretty much every section of the course. The course is also very long because you are building almost a full application. There are many things that don't relate to the title of the course - such as sending an email when a user registers with the app. Maybe this might be what you are looking for but if you just want to learn about JWT / Spring security with Angular then there is lot of stuff that is not relevant. The course could have been much shorter and concise if the app you build was more basic and only had features that relate to the title of the course.
