GENUINE REVIEW! I have just completed the course, and I have a full review that's been brewing in my head throughout your last few lectures. First, I would like to say thank you Nikolina, for the course. As someone that is looking to change careers and trying to break into the Gaming Industry I did learn some information about QA. For the positives of the course I did enjoy the assignments, and the few times you showed and reviewed a sample test case or bug report. As far as the course delivery goes it felt like more of a theoretical discussion of what QA is with rudimentary quiz questions after each module. I felt as if the whole course had a lot of fluff/bloat, most of the text slides felt less informative and was designed more for a reminder to you for the next talking point. My expectation for the course was to graduate and have a very solid basis for Games QA; however the knowledge I received, I cant say confidently that I do. I am left wanting more explanations, walkthroughs, challenges, and reviews on the software testing cycle in order to hit the ground running to practice my test skills more and then apply in true testing environments. Due to this desire for better understanding and a few small things like inconsistent audio quality, your face cam blocking most of your slides text, and fairly low levels of engagement throughout the course is the reason why I would say the course was average but could definitely be better. Hopefully my review helps set the right expectation for future students, that may be considering taking this course. I also hope this helps you Nikolina, if you decide to teach another course. I can tell you are very knowledgeable and have truly earned your stripes in this industry. I just wish the course was more engaging, interactive, and direct.

The first lesson was somewhat approximate and hard to follow because the speaker seemed inexperienced, their sentences and phrases were often cut off and delivered slowly, as if they had no clear plan of what to say. However, the rest of the course delves deeper into the subject, and the speaker becomes much clearer and more understandable. Unfortunately, I'm encountering a bug with Udemy that only allows me to hear the video without seeing it, and while I still enjoy the lessons, they would be better with the video available for review. Initially, I wasn't sure if this course would be suitable for someone looking to become a QA tester, but now that I'm halfway through, I believe it is.

A very good course for someone who wants to get a compact, realistic overview of video games QA. I have been working in video games QA for 13 years now and, while I don't necessarily agree with all the points in the course, they are all valid ones and can be applied in other scenarios (in my experience, and as the course mentions, the fragmentation of standards in games QA makes it difficult to apply all learnings to all projects.) The instructor speaks clearly and was understandable at 1.25x speed, which is always a plus. The course emphasizes mobile game development, however it is still broadly applicable outside of that domain in the PC / Console spaces. Given the limited number of courses available that are oriented to QA in the games space, it's nice to find people trying to help support and develop the discipline. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to get a good base level understanding of the field.

I want a course like this in portuguese, but unfortunately doesn't exist yet. I saw some people complaing because there is no video in this course using apps and demonstrating a QA job, but this no make sense, there are diferents apps to doing the QA job like Jira or ClickUP and every company have your methodolgy. In the Udemy website have some courses about Jira and ClickUP in QA area (sorry if I made some grammar mistakes).

I really liked the course. The content and structure were great. The lectures were easy to follow, and I learned new things despite already being familiar with QA. It was fascinating to see some real game project examples too. A small suggestion: the audio in the videos could be improved. When I went through the course, I had to increase the volume quite a lot, and occasionally it would suddenly get loud before returning to normal. Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind for future courses. Thank you once again for delivering everything the course promised!

the lessons are good for beginners however i think its too long for each video? i notice other udemy courses dont go longer than 10 mins a vid. Also I also wish that there is a demo on how QA is done live with a sample game/software with live test cases. Other than that, I like this course! It teaches basics of QA and testing in general. Recommend!!

My aim is to gain an opportunity to work within the games industry & it is important that I find a well structured informative QA course with some practical elements. Ive reached Section 2 and already I am feeling more confident & prepared for potential interviews or timed tests, very happy with my purchase :-). If anything was to be added to the course, I'd love to have access to the following: 1) Multi choice questions at the end of each section, to help with knowledge intake. 2) Active links to click on. 3) Infograhics which can be downloaded.

This course is an all in one for beginners or aspiring game QA testers. The modules in section 2 - testing strategy has terminologies and methods outlined in ISTQB, to those who may not have taken the ISTQB foundation course stands to gain a lot of insights from this section Section 3 is mostly a high-level perspective on QA testing as a whole and overall this section is what I personally found most useful. Overall a great course which exceeded my expectations

It had so much valuable information! As a complete newbie I am over the moon with the info because I could not find much like it anywhere else. It really details the questions I had for QA in the gaming industry. The only thing I will critique is the sound (I am sensitive to sound) and there were some parts when changing slides where the sound was much louder than the rest and it startled me a few times but regardless, that doesn't affect the quality of this course in my eyes. Thank you for this course, I've learned a lot!

This course is a perfect combination of theories and empirical experience. I have 10 years experience in QA, I am taking this course to refresh my knowledge and I have to say I learned lots of new stuff! and also I could see my practical experience is put into a well structured lectures. This is brilliant !
