Learn Data Analysis with SQL and Tableau (2 Courses in 1) (Udemy.com)

At times there were discrepancies in what I was viewing vs what was presented. Example: #159 Splitting Airline_Delay_Causes at the Data Source. Tableau would not split the Airline field in the Data Source tab properly. This meant throughout the lesson my data was not matching up. After I finished the lesson I went back and found I could perform a custom split on Airline for the city(, first). A custom split on Airline for State/Airline(, last). And a custom split on State/Airline (: First) for State. Then I had to recreate lesson #159 Percentage of Delayed Flights per State (Map Chart). Recreate the calculated field of Percent of Delayed Flights as Percent of Delayed Flights2. Then I could resolve the 1 Unknown state as Guam and proceed. This type of issue happened a few times throughout the course and was a little frustrating. Other than that I came to appreciate his repetition in the lessons which helped me to remember things. I have 380 pages of notes and screenshots. Overall, pretty darn good.

Could you add more examples where we have to calculate percentages of a total sum? For example, if I am tracking all of the risks associated with vendor risk management, it would be nice to have an example of how to calculate the percentage of high information security risks out of all information security risks. It would be nice if you could demonstrate how to rank items as well.

I first gave a single star rating since I had a hard time finding the Northwind database-the instructor should have provided alternate ways to find the database if not in "File". However, I changed my rating to 5 stars in fairness and gratitude since the instructor is very knowledgeable and uses the assignments to further explain difficult concepts.

It is good so far but I haven't yet learnt how to add, modify or delete data from the database and they seem to be really important thing. I will update my review as I progress in the course. Edit: decreased rating from 4.5 stars to 4 stars. Reasons: 1.The subtitles are very faulty and they should be corrected. 2.The course length should be increased or the price decreased. This course spans around 4 hours whereas another course I purchased, DS and Algo with c++, spanned more than 15 hours. If I compare these two, the prices aren't reasonable. edit 2:The instructor is really good in explaining things. And now he has added Tableau in good amount. Hence increased the rating. Very much recommended!!

Could not use the Northwind database, which means I had to follow along through the SQL part of the course and could not get any of the experience myself. The course was definitely still helpful though.

This is an excellent match for me. I have had this instruction before, but it is always good to refresh. Also, different ways for explaining the material helps me understand it better.

Good short introductory course. Lacks a bit of explanation on some function, but overall is good. At the end of the day is only 4 hours, so it is not aimed to be comprehensive and exhaustive.
I am giving a lower rating, because there are mistakes on some places
E.g. in the tutorial on wildcards, the teacher is looking at MS Access symbols for wildcards and some of those are different to SQL Server.
If you are new and do not know anything at all about SQL, this course is ok to just go quickly through the main SQL topics so you can get an idea and have some practice. I like it because it is not overwhelming on theory, rules, explanations.

I enjoyed every bit of the course. The instructor was very clear in explaining every concepts which were easy to understand especially for myself being a new comer in the field of Data analysis/Database administration.

I like this course, the instructor divided in sections Introducton Section, SQL Section, Practice Section and Tableau Section. SQL Section it's an overview, he just show how to use and not why to use. Practice Section is the best part of this course, the instructor uses more than 1 SQL statement for solving the problem. Tableau Section it's an overview, he just show how to use and not why to use. I recommend this course for everyone who want to learn about SQL and Tableau.
