Our take
Based on the ratings of 6,572 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in January 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.
This is a short, code-first course on Cucumber BDD with Java, JUnit and Selenium WebDriver, taught by Dezlearn Education. It runs 3.9 hours across 37 lectures and 8 sections. The syllabus covers Gherkin, step definitions, parameters, data tables, hooks and tags, then builds a Page Object Model framework and finishes with a bonus section on a reporting plugin. There are no slides. Despite the All Levels label, the requirements ask for basic Java and Selenium, so it suits working or aspiring automation testers more than true beginners.
Most of the 6,572 ratings are four or five stars, and the praise is steady: clear explanations, concepts that are easy to follow, and a framework people say they used on real projects. The complaints are small but consistent. One reviewer found it repetitive and slow in places. Another thought the PageFactory section ran long and drifted away from Cucumber itself. A 2024 reviewer said the cookie banner handling no longer matched the live site, so some examples need tweaking. A German reviewer said the Java and Selenium prerequisite was not made obvious.
At about four hours it is quick to finish, and it was refreshed in January 2026, though the setup still points to JDK 10 and Eclipse, so expect some version friction. For testers who already write Selenium and need Cucumber fast, it is a sensible pick. Anyone after a longer path with TestNG, CI or API work should look elsewhere, and newcomers should learn Java and Selenium first. One reviewer also wanted the monochrome option and hook ordering explained better.
Pros
- Short at 3.9 hours, so a working Cucumber setup is reachable in a few sittings
- Covers Gherkin, parameters, data tables, hooks and tags through live-site coding, no slides
- Ends with a Page Object Model and PageFactory framework that reviewers reuse at work
- Explanations are described as clear and crisp, with concepts easy to follow
Cons
- Java and Selenium basics are required, but one reviewer says this was not flagged up front
- Some reviewers find it repetitive, and the PageFactory section is long and only loosely tied to Cucumber
- Examples built on a live website have drifted, for instance a missing cookie banner step
Got detailed understanding of whole cucumber framework within 4 hours. It's an amazing course which helped me to understand the framework easily.
Listed for all levels, but the requirements and reviewers say Java and Selenium basics come first.

Course and explanation is very good. All the concepts are understood. The concept of monochrome can be explained better, i still did not understand fully what is monochrome, also the order of hooks if order priority is not specified, cucumber execution is different than what i have seen in the course when i practised. over all very good learning experience, i am feeling that i am taking this course bit late, but in serious job hunt now so took the course.

Merci !

having half knowledge is dangerous than having no knowledge. I was in that half knowldege zone and thankyou soooooo much for helping me fill the knowldege gaps. This course was soooo much interesting that I forgot to have my lunch.

the course was very informative. some parts are kind of slow repeating the same thing 20 times, e.g. i don't know how many times "before means before and after means after" in common steps part was repeated, so over 6 min video could be 1 min video. but in general the course was good. thanks

I gained knowledge on Cucumber. But as you reach the higher level, you will come across Selenium codings, if you are new to it, it would confuse you. But if you focus on Cucumber training, you will gain lots of information. Thanks for the course.

Superb! Amazing course for Cucumber BDD. As mentioned, Mayur (Instructor) keeps his focus on cucumber framework and does not get into much details of Java/Selenium. His way of explaining the framework concept and how it is created showing practical scenario is really appreciable. Note that course is more useful if you are aware about automation and have some experience.
By Sachindra Kumar Tripathi on 10/6/2021
I took the classic course of Mayur's Selenium WebDriver with Java. Just became a fan of his simple teaching approach, and his calm demeanor. Hence when my project demanded me to skill up Cucumber skills, I straightaway enrolled to this course. And I am very glad that I did.

Would have loved to see Background topic as well as data table implementation though collections too. Overall it's very nice course for beginner to Cucumber provided basic Selenium knowledge should be there.
By Leonardo Setti on 5/18/2021
Straightful course that towards to the general concept of the framework and tell us how the elements are connected, very good practical examples. Highly recommended even for those that still starting its journey through automation using Selenium

I loved this course. It was fairly easy to follow and when it got a bit faster paced in the end I was able to pause and catch back up before continuing. It really helped me to understand how to get going from scratch.
