Learn Git by Doing: A step-by-step guide to version control (Udemy.com)

Perfect crash-course to start learning Git and GitHub. I had some problems to set up the SSH-Key because i never used GitHub before, maybe it would be useful to add these thew steps to the explanation.

Generell war er gut verständlich. Aber er war nicht aus einem Guss. So gab es nur anfangs Übungsaufgaben und die Beispielrepositories während des Trainings wechselten. Es wäre besser geweisen bei einem Beispiel zu bleiben und anhand diesem alles vorzuführen.

its a great course to understand the concepts...but it was really good explanation from jay side ..when sochang came he was in a hurry to just finish those advanced topics section..where imp topics like git rebase,git sqash,git stash are there...anyway had a good learning..thanks..

Buen curso, abarca desde lo más básico a lo más usado. En especial los primeros topicos avanzados. Entendiendo bien este curso y todo su contenido estarás listo para ocupar git ya sea avanzado o a nivel de principiante. Se agradece los ejercicios prácticos. Son sencillos, pero muchos otros cursos no los tiene.

This course is amazing before taking this course I was not aware of how to work with Git. Now I feel very confident and can start work with the Git. Thanks a lot for such an awesome course.

I've taken two other Git courses on Udemy and was not completely satisfied by either. I think this is the clearest explanation of the subject that I've found. Content wise, the creators did a fantastic, five-star job. However, I decided to knock my review a half-star for the following reasons: One, the presentation's audio is inconsistent in sound levels, and at times is overwhelmed by keyboard typing sounds. Two, from what I can see, the creators do not seem to be responding in the Q/A section. Otherwise, this coarse would be perfect. As it is, it still provides the best explanation of Git that I've found on Udemy. I recommend it as such.

C9 has changed to Amazon, and the prompts are different. Also, I am unable to create directories and files in my "environment" which (I assume) is what is referred to in the course as "workspace". So, I am unable to follow as I should because the course has not been updated to reflect Amazon's presence.

+ Well structured (setup, local git, remote/collaborative git) + Well digestible units + Good combination of practise and theory ++ Visualization were very helpful: git commit history as visual graph from http://git-school.github.io/visualizing-git/ and their own genuine infographics were also good.

I received the knowledge/know how I required to use git effectively from the Bash Shell. The course was effective because it was hands on by pausing the video and following along with the instructor--that is key. The cheat sheet is also good. The only issue was that Cloud9 was acquired by AWS and is no longer accessible. Notepad++ and Bash worked fine as an alternative.

I watched all the videos in this course, and did all the exercises. The course is short and clear. Every scenario is designed and explained very well. It is very helpful to get you start using Git. Only suggestion is for video 3 for Git installation on windows. It is not an installation of Git on windows, instead, the author introduced us to use C9. It is cool, but, a bit of distracting. I think using Git Bash is easier for you to follow the course, which is what I did.
