It was okay, but It seems as though I still need more about what I want to learn about 'loops' and easing them in and out, etc.

I was always so confused by Garage Band. This course does a great job of walking you through using the smart instruments to create a song.

An interesting approach to conventional songwriting. The iOS version is dated but you can still follow along.

Quick and dirty way to learn this workflow. Specially helpful if you already know a bit of the subject. Love the method of teaching of the instructor. Thanks

Easy to follow. Would be good if the specific version of GarageBand was mentioned since the versions are different.

As a music teacher looking to introduce a digital music course for high school students, this gives me great tips for using the iPad and Garageband to reach students with little or no musical training...which is my goal!!

This course was easy to follow, clear, and fun. By the end of all lessons, I managed to create my very first song using GarageBand for iPad, which is exactly what I was looking for and what the course promised. It's also a perfect course if you want to learn something new but you don't have lots of time. You can successfully complete it in one single afternoon if you wish. However, keep in mind that it is for beginners. If you already know how to use GarageBand, you won't find anything new. Some elements shown in the video correspond to a previous version of the app. Nonetheless, the new version of the app has all the same elements, but with a new look. So, it's perfectly possible to work along the lessons even if you have the latest GarageBand release. I definitely recommend it!

Got me going on Garageband. Instruction is clear and specific. The content is limited to creating one song with the built-in instruments. Was helpful and well put together but did not focus on recording live instruments or vocals.

To be clear: this is not the "iPad for iOS comprehensive missing manual"... but it is as close as you will get to it, PLUS, if you are not already a composer or musical genius, you get to learn how to create some "listenable" music even if you do not know much about music theory! The lessons are crystal clear, easy to follow and accompanied by useful PDFs to help you remember what you've just learned. Practice being the key, you get ample advice to guide you along the path... Phil: thank you very much for a GREAT course :0)
