I had mixed feelings about this course. Enthusiasm, short keys, your way to teach them and mixing basics are really good. And the Building Groove Part is great. But my perfect start would be when i knew from the start how can I build a own track (no samples) with Third Party Plugins, Retrologue, Padshop and.... (common for most starters) no Midi keyboard. But since the information is really valuable, i am definitely gonna check this one again while i´m also having two other sound sources besides VST.

As a novice it is really fundamental to understand basic knowledge of Cubase, cause it is a such a fantastic but advanced tool. To be able to understand and see in context the different things Cubase has to offer, really helped me alot. I love the art of music, not just necessarily one specific genre, and has always wanted to start creating something on my own. But with my ADHD it is more difficult to start something, and also trying to google everything quickly made me lose interest. That's why i decided to sign up to this course, and I can say it has helped me tremendously. This course will not make you a better artist just like that, but it will give you the knowledge of how to use the tools, and that is how it _can_ and _will_ make you better. I have also bought a different course here on udemy on how use Cubase, and I can safely say that if I were to google everything I have learned so far it would take me years. The main things that really helped me was: How to use plugins and apply them with automations. What they do and understanding the parameters of the basic ones. These parameters can be applied to other plugins aswell. I am not afraid to turn knobs anymore, and also I can do it with some sense of knowing what I am doing. Experience will only make this easier with time. How to structurize my workflow. Ofcourse there is no correct answer to how to do this, but Max gives you an idea how to work with a project, and then you can build on that to create your own methods. All together I am very satisfied with this course and what it has tought me. I only wish the cord progression had atleast two more cords in it, and that is me just nitpicking, really. Thank you, Max! :)

I was always using old and outdated techniques even when using the most current cubase version, which made me always feel like a beginner as I felt limited on what I can do. But after this course I feel so much more motivated to use Cubase and create music that my creativity level has now gone to another level. Through this course, Max was able to show me many possible techniques, tips and tools which either I never knew existed or never experimented with, and it makes music making so much more enjoyable now. Lectures were very easy to follow for a beginner and it was great how you can replicate everything he's doing. I strongly recommend this course for beginners and for those coming from another DAW. Great job Max. a la prossima ps I hope there will eventually be an additional section for Cubase 11 new features.

Events and Parts the Pointer Tool can have different modes I fought a while to figure this out. my Pointer was on "Sizing moves content" and not "Normal Sizing"
this is probably worth to mention!!

A very useful and well-thought out course. It is especially good to have the example song that you can build up as you go to try the examples for yourself and that the song uses only native Cubase tools. It's obvious how much effort Max has put into making this a genuinely useful course and it opens up enough knowledge to be able to make songs of your own. If you make another Cubase course it would be good to see the same approach of an example song and Cubase native functions. Perhaps another course could look at the sampler track and further classic techniques for electronic music drums and sound effects. Many thanks for this wonderful course. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
