at first it was cool, i was learning new stuff. installing python writing code.making some cool programs, then evrything stopped making sense. errors in "his" code from the video, with no updates or fixes.no help with downloads for the supported content. this class really needs an overhaul

For a beginner it seemed to have gone from basic training right into web development and did not seem to explain how the two topics really went together. I will come back to this course after I take the boot camp course to see if the lessons make better sense. In the first half the course was great for teaching and explaining the basics.

Instructor doesn't always go back and correct errors he made in his code, but the code is updated without explanation. There doesn't seem to be any naming convention followed. Do capitalizations matter? When should I use underscore? When should I use Camelcase? Does it matter? Are the imported functions case-sensitive? I'm not sure.

-Solid content. -Audio quality is bit inconsistent, but acceptable. -Video should have been zoomed to focus on active part of the screen. This lack of zooming makes it hard to read, but it is possible. -Exercises should have been more formal. IE: Give the requirements and suggestions in one video. Give the answer in the next video. But, the exercises are there and doable.

The course as delivered tries to go from novice with no knowledge to some level of experience but was more of a summary of points rather than a tutor lead learning experience. For a course where you advertise 'from scratch' there was some more basics which could have been included, however the final sections made up for some engaging content but again was too brief, which again made the course feel like a summary of points. The production quality could be better, is that a standard that Udemy requires, to keep it's contents consistent across it's offerings? May be there was too much trying to be covered in this single course.

I am an embedded programmer who mainly works with C. I wanted to learn some app development/web app development languages and after research I selected this this course. I can just say - I am not disappointed now on my decision. This gives a good & strong foundation on python for anyone who is keen on learning this language. Personally i liked the lectures on django framework. I was trying stuff on MAC and all the programs here worked without any issues. I would recommend this course to anyone who is new to Python. Good work.

This course covers all the basics in python and directs the student to relevant documentation when a subject is not fully covered. There are a few kinks to iron out, namely with the functionality of the simple mail server, and minor aspects of the final projects, but overall this course is well structured and excellently delivered.

Excellent place to get all the fundamentals , basics and the power of python set right. The course does get little boring once you reach django framework but hold-on to the course as it will get you some basic idea on creating webapps and db. Overall A good STARTing point to enter into the world of python.

If you are really an absolute beginner to the programming world, than this is a good course for you. But if you're like me: someone who knows how to program, has been programming for quite some time, needs a fast paced course.... this is not the course for you. I tried to be fair as possible and went through the entire course, but I found myself clicking through to fast forward through the videos. It was drawn out and I believe this was geared towards beginners to programming. I can't see a programmer who is already working as a programmer being able to sit through this. If you are an absolute beginner, this is a good course that will give you a nutshell view of Python and is worth signing up for.
