This course will complete the BI tool set consisting of SQL, ETL and Reporting (you can refer to my SQL Server and ETL courses, if you want to learn more). This course, will walk you through basic installation and environment setup to different SSRS techniques to create reports and visualization. We also cover concepts like displaying data using Tables, Matrices and Lists. We will walk through how to create highly dynamic reports. We walk through the powerful concepts of SSRS expressions, where you can dynamically render Colors, Fonts, Data and control the Report look and feel.
After taking all 3 courses, students will know what will be expected of a DB developer, ETL Developer or a Reporting Analyst type job. The complete BI Tool Suite course will help you get prepared for interviews and jobs. It will show you all facilities that these tools provide.

As this was my third course from this instructor, I was not surprised this time to find the same kind of real-time errors (usually the result of typos) and subsequent fixes included in the video series. I appreciated the additional tips and tricks section at the end.

Good learning point. Despite update of the SSDT on which the pdf tutorials covers earlier versions. However it was an interesting learning curve especially on capacitating students to research and hence grasping more skills and less challenges when configuring and setting up the updated BI tools.

Hi Rakesh, I am thinking of becoming Ms Sql DBA, having study on most of your courses like, Introduction to database and quering, ETL, Reporting services etc. I've been very much inspired, and motivated by your teaching. Can you please provide training on Advance Concepts i.e database tuning, query tuning, index, clr, profiler etc . This are what DBA does on regular basis l believe if l study those courses too it will help me to pursue my dream and l can have confidence to start applying for junior DBA role. Thanks

Some of the content went by really fast so had to pause and restart quite a bit. suggest at least talking though what you are clicking and selecting to allow students to replicate what you are doing at the same time. still, really good overview to SSRS and the capabilities of the tool.

The course covers lots of good concepts! I think that can give an idea how the SSRS works and an excellent starting point to any one. The instructor is knows what his is talking about, what is a good thing. Thanks for sharing your knowledge! It is really appreciated! All the best.

Very well organised course and concise and straight to the point without unnecessary fuss. great course for the people who want to get into SSRS world. Very much apprciated for the nice course. Thank you very much Rakesh for your hardwork. Would appreciate if you can publish SSAS also.

Rakesh, Thank you so much for publishing this course and for doing it for free! I really enjoy your teaching style and pace and examples. Well done! Very real world! You teaching style reminds me of managers and Sr. Managers that I have worked with in the past. I look forward to taking other courses from you as well! Exactly what I needed!

This is a very fast-paced course, but I enjoyed it very much. I had some problems getting newer versions of all the software up and running (had to uninstall and reinstall everything, but it all turned out OK). I still need to get more familiar with Visual Studio, but I think I have a pretty good grasp of how to use SSRS. Thanks for a great course!

It is a very nice introductory course to the very basics of SSRS reports. It is excellent if you're tasked with preparing a report and don't really know where to start! One comment though: a lot of the examples are prepared "on-the-fly", and sometimes they don't even work. A lot of the material seems to be done on-the-fly actually. I wish it had been prepared a bit better in advance. Also, quite amusing, but a lot of the points from the recap of the lesson didn't really come out during the lesson? The instructor says that we've covered a good part of the basics of databases, but I don't feel like that was the case (nor was it part of the course?). Anyway, a good introductory course, and definitely worth it if you've never touched SSRS and want to know what's up!

I have a background on Business Objects, I was going through BI tool sets to expand my skill set and came across this beginner course for SSRS, as expected from the course title I was able to get how SSRS operates and how it is different in few areas compared to SAP Business Objects. Good Work by Rakesh! Looking forward for more courses :) :-) all the best!!
