"I'm amazed by how things could be explained that well and to the point in such a short time. I loved the style, keep it up Sezgi, you are awesome!" - Ebru
"There's actually a lot more going on here than I expected, from editing Docker images, to setting up social-media authentications. A lot of moving parts, yes, but she explains it all very well and I didn't get lost at all. A real solid class!" - August
"I took the course mostly to learn setup a simple backend. The setup with Hasura turned out to be even easier than I expected, and I was able to do it without any hiccups. Pacing of the course is also very good, and the instructor is entertaining to listen to." - Baris
"At first I thought this was just going to be an intro to a couple things I need to learn, RN and GraphQL. Yay, both in one place! But actually this is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. Is this actually an art project? Who is this person and why is she not teaching us the meaning of life? More please" - Michael

Here’s what people are saying about Hasura:
"Holy mother of god @HasuraHQ is a game changer. Automatic #GraphQL over @PostgreSQL with permissions, webhooks on db changes, N+1 query optimization, admin for tables/relationships, migrations, etc. Any front end dev can deploy via docker and have a back end running in 10 mins." - @PierB

Can I take this course as a beginner?
Probably. This is NOT a fundamentals course, but I've added a lecture called "Todo app overview" in the Welcome section to make it more beginner-friendly. Give it a try! If you find this course to be too advanced, you can always get a refund. If you’re new to React Native or GraphQL, and want to learn the basics, I’d recommend taking individual courses for each one. Here you’ll learn how to put it all together into an easy stack.

What makes this course different?
In this course, you will:
- Save tons of time and energy from not having to build out a complicated back-end,
- Transform your mobile development experience, so you can focus on writing front-end code,
- Learn in a fun and engaging environment.

I’m looking forward to getting to know you, and celebrating all the mobile apps you’ll build.
Let’s jump-start your mobile stack and create awesome apps together.

The course doesn't correspond with the current versions of Hasura or Digital Ocean. So instructions are either not relevant or inaccurate.

If like me, you're not sure you want to dedicate a lot of time learning new tech only to realize hours in it's not for you, then this is perfect. This course is a great starting point to get an overview of how to get started creating a full-stack app. It doesn't go into a lot of detail but instead introduces you to new services and how they all work together. Now that I see how useful these tools are, I'm excited to jump into other courses to learn more of the fundamentals. Thanks for the lessons Sezgi!

Some courses explain too much. Some explain too little. It is a difficult line to straddle when teaching students of all different skill levels. Regardless, this course seems to explain too little. My guess is that jumping in and out of docker files via the VIM cli will confuse newbs. Also this course is already dated insofar as my experience browsing Hasura and DigitalOcean looked nothing like the instructor's experience, despite following her instructions to a tee.

An usually talented and succinct instructor. She's taken a very complex topic and turned it into a fun experience, which is euphoric. If you have any interest as a mobile developer, Sez is a delight, but also, supportive and nurturing. This is no exaggeration. It's a sleeper of a course i'd highly recommend to any of the professionals i work with!

Very good course. I've learned exactly what I thought I'd learn. It's true, the pace is pretty high, but that's only a little problematic in the later part of the tutorial, where much copy-pasta is making it pretty confusing to follow. You'll learn a lot in these one and a half hours, because the instructor really knows her subjects well and doesn't waste any time.

This is a good course which introduces Hasura, Auth0 and GraphQL to your React Native apps. The concepts the instructor explains in this course can easily be incorporated into other larger courses already in Udemy concerning React Native. This course sticks to the “short and sweet” aspects of these features in building the universal todo app.

Very concise course. The instructor doesn't write out the code, she copy/pastes it, so the pace is very fast. (If you want to code along, you have to pause a lot, but that's why it's a self-paced course, right?) The course is a bit shallow in that there is not a lot of explanations on why we are doing things, best practices, tips on how to debug React Native errors, etc. If you are not familiar with GraphQL and React, then this course is not for you. There is a lot of ceremony involved to get Auth0 and Hasura working. The course is good for showing how to bootstrap a React Native app quickly, but doesn't go into any details on the underlying technologies. Th style resembles those of egghead.io courses: extremely to the point, but not very thorough. It's good to get you started, but to create a production-ready React Native app, you'll have to do some legwork on your own.

I learned a TON about how to quickly set up Hasura and start using Apollo with GraphQL in an app. The instructor moves VERY quickly so expect to pause a lot or just copy the files from each lecture into your folders. The only qualm I have with the course is that I wish there was some time set aside to go over some common errors that you might get in the app when trying to query or hit the API. The React Native Red error screen of death usually will not directly tell you where the error was coming from and would usually only reference that it was an issue with GraphQL. Often times I only had a missing curly bracket, but it was often difficult pinpointing exactly where.

It is super interesting and easy to learn. The instructor walks through every step of setting up a GraphQL database in the backend, authentications and front end with React. Really enjoyed this course. At the end of the course, you have made an app from scratch! Its awesome!
