Course Description

This course is designed for beginner users of Logic Pro 9 and Logic Pro X, who want to learn the professional way of sampling for Hip-Hop/Rap music. If you are a current Logic user and have always wanted to learn the skill of sampling, this course will teach you everything you need to know so you can publish your own beats.

This course is very detailed and is broken up into five sections. The first portion will cover Logic's ESX24, which is the sampler plug-in that is already preinstalled in the software. The next section will cover how to import drum sounds into the sampler, so that you can create your own personal drum kits. After, the course will teach some great techniques on how to sample sections from songs. This will allow you to construct a melody out of these samples so that you can overlap it with a Hip-Hop style beat. During this course, I will teach you how to properly mix your melodies and drum sections. Lastly, this class will teach how to master and finalize a sampled beat within the software.

If there are any questions, please ask! I read my inbox everyday, so I will be able to respond very quickly.

I am sure you will find this course to be an easy and fast tool for learning the professional way of sampling with Logic. I am looking forward on helping you achieve your goals with your music production. Good Luck!

I think this is a good course if you don't know how to work the sampler in your logic program. It was easy to follow, I am enjoying the course.

By Charlie Stillwell on 1/23/2017

Much more organised and structured than the advice you get on Youtube. Great basis to get started.

Overall a good course. The quick tips in the mastering section was good. Would have liked a little more info on where to look to for source material within songs and genres/artist styles to find source material to sample.

Great lesson for getting started with samples. Finished it in a few hours. Worth the buy, just make sure you look at what the class offers before purchasing it.

I was a bit weary of paying for something you could easily find on YouTube. The truth is you can't actually find relevant topics on youTube. I already knew a little but you definetely boosted my confidence of using samples and just reaffirming things that I was unsure about. Very clear, concise and to the point. No need for any other bullshit this is a straight up guide to Sampling. WELL worth the money! Instructor was engaging, production was dope and the content most definitely relevant. Chigs

When I purchased this course, I was hoping to gain enough knowledge to simply get the ball rolling as a beatmaker using sampling in Logic Pro X. I had some experience with other DAWs but this course gave me the tips necessary to solidify my workflow in Logic and the confidence to make a beat, mix it, master it and finally, upload the finished project. Definitely recommended for those getting started as a producer and searching for quality instruction on how to do so.

Unfortunately i was expecting something a bit more technical than this course.. the guy taught it well i'll give him that but ive yet to find a good course anywhere that gives a good insight into anything

Really strong tutorial by Mike Marino as he discusses his process of beat making. Awesome for a beginning logic user like myself who was is not as technical as I am creative. Each lesson is thoroughly explained in detail while dishing out a few side tips to further spark creativity. The course even breaks down the producers mindset from scratch, from finding a sample to building each drum sound. I seriously haven't found better tutorial for logic pro available online. Solid work from producer/engineer Mike Marino.
