The entire course was good. For me the Backstory section was the best section of the course. Many Vedic astrologers use Shadbala to determine planetary strength; while that's easy to see with computer software, it's a long, tedious process to do by hand (which I recommend while learning). Using Backstory is a much quicker way to access planetary conditions (avasthas). While I'm far from a beginner in Vedic astrology, from time to time it helps to revisit the basics.
