I am familiar with python, and basic algebra, but have no clue what the tutor is talking about in the first ten lectures. To me he looks like someone who solves equations for many years, (in the same way over and over again) and forgot how to explain this topic in a modern way.

Are you tired of too many lemmas and proofs that seem exclusive to mathematicians? Linear algebra doesn't have to be just for a “gifted genius". If you want a course that will allow you to learn or remember this is your choice.

Focuses much on theory to impart more theory. It's hard to make it relatable or useful. I'm taking this course to become familiar with linear algebra for a data science program, but the way the math is presented here is often dry without much connection beyond the principles it teaches itself. Often also, sometimes the order makes no sense.

Good for students who need to learn quickly with many worked examples. Best to pair this with other free yt videos like Dr.trefor bazett and 3 blue 1 brown for the intuition part.

I think the content in this course is very well organized. Linear Algebra is a very vast subject so it's impossible to go into everything in one Udemy course. However, the instructor covers the most important topics in my opinion. The explanations are clear and easy to understand. Also, I appreciate the many practice problems here. That's something other Udemy courses lack. In order to understand a subject in math you really need to do lots of practice problems. There are some small computational errors in some places but I can overlook them due to the convenience of having such a well organized and presented course.

Very good training in linear algebra with many exercises. Maybe some students could find, that there are too many recaps.

The number of exercises are sometimes too much for me, but it is a very clear and understandable course about linear algebra. Thank you for it.

I think this course has been very helpful, the teacher goes into alot of detail but yet the pace is very manageable and it makes the content easy to follow without much background knowledge going into the course. The biggest issue I have is that I think some of the videos in the course are out of order, but apart from that, a great course with a top class teacher

The pace and way of teaching is very good. Examples are sufficient to show all 3 cases, viz. unique solution, infinite solutions and no solution. The only comment is when the video starts the screen is not immediately in focus. It takes some time to have a focussed content. The audio is good with clear pronunciation. Overall it is excellent.

Great course. It gets the student calculating quickly without getting bogged down in too many proofs. However, linear algebra is a bridge course between computational and conceptual mathematics so there is no escaping proofs - I have yet to see a linear algebra course that does not in some way require a definition or proof exercise. This linear algebra course has some proofs in it but are amazingly simple and a great introduction to proofs. I was quite confused and intimidated by the idea of proofs. The exercises in this course made the intro almost painless. The instructor is responsive to questions but you may have to wait a few days - but that's a good thing because in the mean time you may figure out the answer. This course is not so dense or difficult and with some extra work you can flesh out the intuition and steps yourself. The only improvement I would make is to add more conversation around the motivation and intuition of linear algebra. The material is quite interesting but so abstract. I don't necessarily need a practical exercise or application for every topic but I would like more talk about what it is we are doing and why, to any depth. Markov chains was a great chapter because it covered relevant examples. Determinants and proofs are fun algebraic exercises but the 'why' is not as straightforward as a topic in multivariable calculus... In any case, this course was awesome and my base is well prepared. Thank you to Amos for all of your hard work.
