Quality substance comes in quality wrappings!
Lots of e-learning courses, podcasts and other vocal recordings have superb content, but suffer from poor recordings and audio treatment! The same can be said about some vocal artists: Rappers with great skill and singers with touching lyrics sometimes sound like they recorded the vocals in a bucket and loose lots of the emotional appeal and power they could have!
However: Often, it's NOT the expensive microphone, a high-end preamp or renting a studio for loads of money, BUT room treatment, proper recording technique and some simple tricks to improve the character of your vocal material drastically. This course teaches you how to set up your room, the microphone and shows how to use software solutions to help you to get loud and clear voice tracks!

I'm a DJ, producer, remixer, radio host and music lover from Dortmund (Germany). I'm also a teacher and trainer for DJing and Music Production at the VibrA School of DJing, the largest association of DJ schools in Europe.
Teaching to me is more than just knowing technical facts and details about my field of expertise. It's about giving the student a feeling of "I can understand this!" or "I can do this too!" and talk to him in a way so he can really achieve the knowledge without being an expert before the training.
I took a long way: In 1995, I bought my first turntables and started my first steps as a DJ and amateur producer. I played countless club gigs all over Germany and I still host a weekly fm live radio show named “Schwarzmarkt" (german for “black market"), which is on air live since 2002, every Friday night on Dortmund's fm college radio “eldoradio*". Besides, I was engaged in producing, working with lots of artists and musicians and doing remixes for contests. Since 2006 I additionally work as teacher and trainer at Europe's biggest association of DJ-Schools, the “VibrA – School of Djing" in Dortmund (and Münster for the time it existed) to coach DJs and producers coming from all styles of music in the arts of mixing, scratching and producing.
Some things I did and achieved in the last years:
1995 - today: Club-DJ in various locations

Yes, seems good so far. Very clear explanations.

I bought this course as I was going to do voice recordings from my home. This course is designed from a software technical perspective whereas I was looking for a course on how to train my voice for recordings and maybe some room setup knowledge at the most. Nevertheless, it is obvious that the trainer is very professional and sincere about his work. The quality of the videos, the screens where he walk viewers through the different scenarios are absolutely clear although I struggle with the techniques but that's just me from a non-technical recording background.

in the eq area yo need to be more specifics whith the frequency needs to cut, no trabajas con voces en conjunto con una pista que es algo importante, y trabajas con plugins y programas que no son standar

I'm sure the course is great for rappers/musicians, etc. And there is a lot information that is very relevant to those people using Audacity. I'm not. So, I found some of it to be not relevant to my journey.

Once the instructor dives into his material he provides a ton of practical and apply it immediately material. I think some of will need to replay the effect chains lecture several times and compare it to the individual effects lectures, but the collective material is very helpful. I was stunned at the bonus material and lectures and how supportive and helpful this instructor has been to the students. Marvelous.

I have made hundreds of recordings and thought I did okay, but this course showed me techniques I did not know and it very much helped my recordings. This will helped you if you are new to recording or have been doing them for awhile.

Marc over delivers inside the course with excellent content and supplemental examples demonstrating what he has just taught. He is, also, further shares his expertise with the students in the discussion board within the udemy course itself.

Before I actually did not have a clue about all that acoustic stuff. I was using Audacity but did not know what all those options were good for. Now I can fix a recording and I also know how to produce a nice recording in the first place. Thank you Marc!

I love the fact that this video series is short and to the point. Marc quickly gets to the goal of improving the quality of the audio recordings by focusing on the microphone and room, the aspects that have the biggest impact, and then goes on to talk about the basic concepts related to digitally enhancing the audio. SO far I've just focused on the recording aspect and not the digital enhancement, but I've often wondered what the different plugins and filters are for, so now I'll work on using the ones he mentions to enhance what I've got.

What I learned from here will help me a lot. I was testing with recording last night with a uni-directional mic and an improvised pop-filter, before I got to watch this. I was wondering how to eliminate the background noise and weather to use low-gain or high-gain settings of the mic. It's clearer now what to do after taking this course. Thanks a lot Marc!
