The course is good in teaching the fundamental concepts. However, it is very outdated. Many of the libraries used in the examples are either deprecated or renewed and I had to search a lot for the new implementations.

Excellent masterclass on Vector Databases! The course covers all the essentials, from the power of embeddings to hands-on practice with ChromaDB, FAISS, Pinecone, and Qdrant. I particularly appreciated the section on using SQLite as vector storage, which is a great way to start. Highly recommended for anyone building RAG systems. 5/5!

About 3/4 of the way through the course I had rated it 5 stars. The content isn't deep, but it shouldn't be for beginners like me. It was just right and I was feeling pretty good about it. I revised my rating when I got to the end because there were too many "commercials" in the last sections - flipping over to his other course and touting it - I was also expecting to actually create a Streamlit application or at least see some instruction on how it was done. It was disappointing when I clicked next and just received code. Overall, really good though.

Course is very shallow in its coverage. Author has picked the introduction or getting started pages and created videos out of it with minimal change. Key concepts are totally missing, and ordinary concepts (e.g. basic read write commands) have been dragged for too long. I found much better videos about same technologies on YouTube

The entirety of this course was great. I especially liked the ChromaDB sections and appreciate the explanations as the technical work is being completed. It helps cement foundational and practical knowledge together. As we step further in to the AI era we will need to have common language. This course is a great example of how this type of information should be taught. Thank you and keep it up.

you have convered pretty much all the databases here in this course. can you update the course with one end to end project? starting from creating embeddings to end at giving response to user from our model.

Although the subject of practically using vector databases is not that deep in its own, the instructor does a very good job in presenting this, and also provides a few 'tricks of the trade' and useful practical tips for each case that you wouldn't find in some documentation. I am very happy overall with this course.

Good intro to storing embeddings in a vector store. Covers several vector stores using Python to load vector embeddings into vector stores and then querying the stores using both the embeddings and metadata.

Contents are good. But, OMG, the author seems to REPEAT the info multiple times, almost sickening, like when are you done. Also, he repeats simple stuff... Not complex stuff. Just listen to the latest data in pinecone to stale data in OpenAI.. in this lecture. He repeats at least 4-5 times. I know I am repeating here. Just expressing my frustration that he should know NOT to repeat, particularly simple stuff.

A good course. Gave me exactly what I was looking for: a basic understanding of vector databases. The course is very thorough and the practices are useful.
