Course Description

Watercolor is a fascinating medium. Many people are reluctant to try because they have been led to believe that watercolor is difficult. While it can be a challenge, this course is designed to provide insight and hopefully instill confidence in even a rank beginner. This is the opportunity to learn about paper, paints, brushes and their application in creating glowing passages of color.

Am invatat cateva moduri noi de a lucra in acuarela, e de mare ajutor daca pui in practica exercitiile.

There was not enough content in this course. It should have been listed as for very beginners--not suitable for those with basic watercolor knowledge. The course was too simplistic, not very professionally presented and didn't provide a satisfying completed project. I was disappointed enough that I'm nervous about buying any more udemy course.

I am learning so much about glazing that I never understood before, and realizing where I have been making mistakes. The blue apple exercise is amazing! I think some parts may be a bit confusing for a complete beginner, but if you stick with it will begin to make more sense. I've been painting for a few months and indeed struggling to achieve the image I see in my mind. Learning these basics will be a huge help! Thank you for a great course!

I enjoyed the specificity of the Orange exercise, how Don broke down each action, each layer, with the what to do and the whys. Very helpful to know that the underpainting should be transparent. And watching him add the darker layer, i.e., the way he applied it, was most helpful.

Instructor gives lots of information about materials and several demos/exercises to give the beginning student a firm foundation in glazing. However, based on the title (Mastering Glazing Technique) and the beautifully complex painting that is shown in the advertisement, I thought this class would be much more advanced. What I really hoped to see was a demo of that painting. He did provide a written overview and photos of the painting in progress, but that's just not the same.

Love this course. I am a fairly new painter only having taken a few other courses. These demos are very easy to follow along with. I think they show the concept quite well. I appreciate Don's use of different brushes and types of paper, etc so we can see the differences. After finishing the course I am changing my review to excellent!

I was so excited with taking this course... It was to my my pure delight to order both of your books this morning. I have been dabbling in watercolor for 10 years and spent $$ on classes, DVDs and books. Yesterday, your course on UDEMY brought it all into focus with clear understanding! This day I will play in the studio with the new knowledge. Thank you kindly.

The instructor walks through various colors (most of which I do not have) and talks about the qualities of each. Transparent, staining, granulating, etc. so I was able to follow along with similar colors I do have. He recommended quality brushes, paper, and techniques that were very helpful throughout. I've taken several watercolor courses through Udemy. This is the best so far.

As a new student in watercolor, I found this lesson very interesting and can't wait to review all the process and practice. I love the intensity of the colors. I would like to see a more complete landscape demo to learn how to mix those elements with the background. Thanks a lot to share your skills.

This is such an informative course for beginning watercolors or for someone like me who just wants a refreshing approach to painting. Learning new techniques is always fun and I am loving the class room type atmosphere. Don does a great job of explaining what he is doing so that anyone can follow along. Thank you.
