Course Description

"I found this course so interesting but particularly from my side as a Sales person, the content is really helpful to help advise customers, so that they understand that while I am selling transformational development software, to get to the transformed state, requires a lot of cross functional collaboration and as mentioned in the course; organizational transfer of learning." - Felicity M.

"I really enjoyed this course. It is very insightful, I cannot wait to start co-creating a vision with my team. The techniques are practical and explained very well." - Jenaway G.

"Impressive coverage with practical aspects...that would sure help Manager's and Leaders to implement these in practical life." - Pradnya K.

"A really good course on intrinsic motivation by an instructor who has first hand experience in observing how motivated teams operate and has researched and investigated agile teams as part of his Phd (which he takes you through in the course) from organisations around the world." - Sizwe N.

Do you wish you could improve your team motivation? Are you a leader that depends on teams to get work done and projects completed? Most value in the workplace is achieved through teamwork and whether you are a coach, manager or team member you need to motivate teams to be successful.

Traditional motivational techniques of rewards and punishment will achieve some short term motivation and team success but longer term, sustainable motivation comes from intrinsic motivators such as autonomy, mastery and purpose.

In this course you will learn about these powerful concepts that will uplift your team and inspire them to new levels of achievement. This course consists of the following:

  • An introduction to the course that describes the key concepts and gives you a broad overview

  • A wipeboard lesson that teaches you how to dramatically improve your team's current levels of motivation

  • A 1:1 lesson on the power of autonomy in a team concept and how it links to the Agile principle of self-organisation

  • A 1:1 lesson on mastery and the concepts of empowering teams with skills and learning paths to drive motivation

  • A 1:1 lesson on the power of purpose in helping a team see beyond their day to day work and reach their full potential

  • An assignment in which you get to choose which intrinsic motivator to apply in your team environment and observe the benefits

  • An overview of my PhD research that led to the development of a sentiment scale that describes how teams respond to their environment

  • Downloadable worksheets for each of the three motivators that help you with reference practices

Take this course today so that you can motivate  your team to new levels of success tomorrow.

If you could unlock just 10% more potential in your team then you could deliver more projects, with better quality. I've studied Agile teams for 5 years and I've run Agile teams in my career - intrinsic motivation is one of the drivers of positive  team sentiment and success.

Learn more in this course and put your new insights into practice with your team.

The course also takes learners beyond traditional leadership and motivation frameworks, immersing them in the evolving psychology of work in the digital age. It explores how motivation has shifted from transactional reward systems to a deeper focus on autonomy, purpose, and emotional connection—especially in hybrid, AI-augmented environments. Through powerful insights drawn from behavioral science and real-world leadership case studies, learners discover how to inspire genuine engagement and resilience in teams that span cultures, time zones, and technologies.

At its heart, this section helps participants master the art and science of human motivation—understanding what truly drives people to perform at their best. They’ll gain the ability to identify intrinsic and extrinsic motivators and to apply evidence-based strategies that fuel creativity, accountability, and growth. By examining emotional intelligence, the science of habits, and the role of psychological safety, learners will sharpen their ability to build trust and foster an environment where individuals feel both valued and empowered.

The integration of technology and AI into motivation is a defining feature of this course. Participants learn how to leverage digital tools—like AI-powered feedback platforms, sentiment analysis, and data-driven recognition systems—to create personalized motivational experiences. At the same time, they’ll explore the ethical dimensions of using such technologies, ensuring that human empathy remains central in an increasingly automated workplace. This dual focus on technological fluency and emotional intelligence positions learners as adaptive, future-ready leaders.

Cultural awareness and inclusion are also major pillars of this learning journey. Learners will uncover how motivational approaches differ across regions, backgrounds, and personality types, and how global leaders can harmonize diverse perspectives to build cohesive, high-performing teams. The course challenges participants to think globally but act empathetically—translating cultural diversity into a source of innovation and unity rather than friction.

By the end of this section, learners emerge with the skills to motivate, lead, and transform in any context. They will be equipped to design adaptive motivation systems, communicate vision with clarity and purpose, and sustain engagement even in times of uncertainty and change. More than just theory, this course instills a mindset of continuous learning, ethical leadership, and human-centered innovation—qualities that define the next generation of successful leaders.

Yes, more knowledge.

AI generated repeated questions asking about the same thing. Multiple questions about what percent are you at. Dissapointment.

Learning a little each day adds up. Research shows that students who make learning a habit are more likely to reach their goals. Set time aside to learn and get reminders using your learning scheduler.

Very nice learning experience it helps lot

By Lee Peron on 1/22/2026

The first 10% was good. Since then this has been very repetitive. I have heard the 20% google story at least a dozen times. I don't know if the goal was to make a course 40 hours long, but it seems like there is a lot of filler. If the goal was to have this be a once a week thing then it might be more useful, but in a straight shot it is a massive overkill.

By Gagonaope Keoagile on 1/13/2026

Yes it is a good match because i learned a lot on how to manage a successful team or how to build a successful team.
