I really enjoyed this training and learned some new skills. I tried to print my certificate, but I was unable to print.

This helped me a lot more especially with Excel because I have really been so bad at it and did not understand how some things there worked.

Gained knowledge in basic Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word for document creation and formatting, and Microsoft Excel for data entry, basic formulas, and spreadsheet management.

High-level overview of the fundamental components of the Microsoft 365 application suite from a user perspective. Starts at a basic entry level. Covers Teams, Planner, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and OneDrive applications. Modules can be a bit repetitive.

By Craydon T. Abendan on 3/18/2026

My goal at the beginning of the course was to feel less overwhelmed by all the programs included in Microsoft 365, not to achieve perfection. I made a self-promise on the first day to keep things simple: one cup of coffee, one module at a time, and no hurrying to "finish." That little mental adjustment had a significant impact. The introduction felt more like someone creating a map for me than a technical dump. I now see how Microsoft 365 works: Teams as the central hub, Outlook for communication, OneDrive and SharePoint for files, and tools like Planner to keep the work flowing. The training made it easier for me to recognize the connections between these apps, which I previously saw as distinct islands. I paused the videos a lot, took notes, and tried little things right away—like saving a file to OneDrive and then opening it inside Teams. That tiny “ohhh, it all connects!” moment felt good. I’ve always thought Teams was just chat with extra steps. This module changed that. I created a test team, added a couple of channels, and tried a quick meeting with myself (yes, talking to myself felt weird). I learned how channels are for organized, topic-based conversations and that chat is more like quick DMs. The features that stood out to me: • Meetings: Scheduling became smoother once I used the Teams calendar. Turning on “Record meeting” felt like a safety net—I could revisit a section I missed. Captions also helped when I had to keep the volume low. • Collaboration: Co-editing a Word doc right inside Teams felt surprisingly powerful—no more “final-final-v2.docx” chaos. @mentions reduced guesswork because the right person actually saw the task. • Little wins: Pinning channels I use most, muting noisy ones, and using the search bar like a pro (“/files” is underrated!) made Teams feel less noisy and more like home. By the end, I wasn’t just “using” Teams; I was organizing my work around it. And also with the Planner, it is visual, I found it appealing. For my study strategy, I put up a straightforward board with three buckets: To Watch, In Progress, and Review. It may sound silly, but crossing off a task after finishing a lecture felt like a little dopamine boost—and those build up. I also put due dates, labels (green for easy, red for tough), and tasks to "future me. "For me what helped most are the following: • Buckets & Labels: Buckets kept things tidy; labels made priorities obvious at a glance. • Charts View: Seeing the workload in the chart was a reality check—I was assigning too much to one day. I redistributed the tasks and immediately felt less stressed. • Integration: I loved that my Planner tasks appeared in Microsoft to Do. It kept me honest about what I actually needed to do next. I used to switch between apps and feel busy yet unproductive before taking this course. I feel more composed and deliberate now that I've worked through the introduction, Teams, and Planner. I keep data in OneDrive/SharePoint, work and communicate in Teams, and plan in Planner. Everything is in its proper location and doesn't demand attention. Learning to operate with less noise was the most "human" aspect of this experience, not mastering features. I gave up trying to commit the entire Microsoft 365 universe to memory and instead concentrated on making tiny daily progress. I got the framework from the course, and I gained confidence via practice.

The only thing I would change is that the instructor could be more consistent in zooming in on the content of the spreadsheets. Some of them he zoomed in on some he didn't and they were hard to see.

The overview provided on the various Microsoft 365 packages for personal use and business use; and the types of software added for each package was very informative.
