Our take
Based on the ratings of 1,635 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in September 2026. No course pays to be reviewed.
This is Part 2 of Satish Reddy's Dynamics 365 and Power Apps developer series, and it only makes sense after Part 1, which handled plugins and custom workflows. Here the work moves to the browser side of model-driven apps. It runs 2.6 hours across 24 lectures: Client API basics, option-sets and lookups, debugging, HTML web resources, the Web API, and one Google Maps sample. It assumes you already write HTML and JavaScript.
Reviewers like how clearly the instructor explains things, and a couple say the material still holds up after years of Power Platform changes. One longtime user calls it close to a quick reference guide. The complaints are consistent, though. Some say it feels rushed, with new code dropped into existing files faster than they could follow. One found the Web API section thin, and noted a gridContext topic that was promised and never covered. A couple mention choppy editing, uneven sound or buffering, and one wanted ribbon customizations.
With around 8,000 students and a 4.6 rating from 1,635 reviews, most of the sample sits at four or five stars. The course was updated in September 2026, and it still covers the move from Xrm.Page to formContext. It is short, so treat it as a map of the client-side toolbox rather than a deep dive. Take it if Part 1 is behind you, and plan on extra reading for advanced Web API work.
Pros
- Covers form scripting end to end: attributes, controls, option-sets, lookups and auto-save
- Reviewers say the concepts still hold up despite later Power Platform changes
- Includes debugging, form types and organizing multiple JavaScript web resources
- Updated in September 2026, with a lecture on moving legacy Xrm.Page code to formContext
Cons
- Only 2.6 hours, so the Web API lectures stay at an introductory level
- Some reviewers found it rushed, with code pasted into files too fast to follow
- No quizzes or exercises, and no ribbon customization coverage
a fantastic, in-depth review of handling JS specific to dynamics365 (dataverse). The concepts still hold true even with all the updates to the Power Platform since the time of publishing.
Listed as All Levels, but it needs Part 1 plus basic HTML, JavaScript and CSS. Not for beginners.

We’ve completed yet another training session prepared by Satish Reddy. I’ve taken all of his courses, simply because sometimes it's easy to forget certain things—not due to a lack of interest, but it just happens, especially if you’re a Finance and Operations X++ developer like me. This course, much like Part 1, delivers concise and practical information—almost like a quick reference guide. Again, just like in Part 1, the focus is solely on Model-Driven app development. There's no mention of Canvas apps (but honestly, who uses them outside of a small group anyway?). Given the short length of the course, I wish Power Apps Component Framework had been covered. Also, since most coding is done using TypeScript along with @types/xrm, even a brief mention of this would have added value. Overall, I find the course well-structured and consistent, and I definitely recommend the course.

Very nice content. Learn a lot from this one again. English is time to time bit hard to understand and javascript is not as sound as I would like, but clear enough. Using something like Typescript or building a CI/CD pipeline would be great too. Lot of manual work and it is very good to know how things happen. I wish there would be some extra lessons on automation though. Integrating stuff to Azure DevOps maybe...?

genial, se incluye lo esencial para empezar a trabajar con CRM. Se agradecería algo más de profundidad con algunos aspectos que quedan deprecados. Una tercera parte dedicada a la creación de portales web estaría muy bien.

This is a very good course if you want to move your basic Dynamics 365/CRM Client side development knowledge forward. Its also better if you tackle Satish's first course before this one as Satish make the ocassional reference to the first course but not totally neccessary as long as you are ready to do a bit more typing and setting up. To get the most from the course you do need some JavaScript & HTML experience and ideally have already used that knowledge to develop some basic JavaScript web resources on a Dynamics 365 platform. Satish's delivery is well paced and any technical issues with sound etc are minimal. I hope Satish adds more content to this course and even considers producing a 3rd course on PowerApps which seems the way forward for Dynamics 365 development.

Amazing course (both Part-1 and Part-2). Easy to follow and really can help an individual if he wants to pursue career in Developer side of CRM or become a Technical consultant. I would suggest Satish to add some tutorials related to ribbons and sitemap customizations along with some more tutorials on Client side scripting.(gridContext)

Overall Explanation and all are good but what I felt is the course is very basic(for those who are beginning it's good) and it would have been better if the author would have taken a custom sample application(about 5-10 custom entities) and use all the concepts(according to the use case - what to choose(plugin, custom workflow, action) ) over there.

This course is very good introducing the basics when interacting with Dynamics 365. The only reason why I gave it 4 starts is because I was expecting more advanced topics / complex interaction with the environment. For beginners it definitely deserves 5 stars. Very happy with the instructor, clear instructions and definitions in all lectures. Recommending this course to anyone wanting to have a look at what you can achieve with Dynamics 365 as a developer.

I went through part 1 of Satish's Microsoft Dynamics 365 Technical training, and have just completed this part 2 training. Thank you for the valuable materials, Satish! I now have a clear understanding of how to build and extend business solutions on Microsoft Dynamics 365 platform both on client side and server side.

This is what you get when the trainer is highly knowledgeable and experienced in the field. Best tutorial related to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Development found on the web. Good examples and easy to understand explanation. Waiting for more advanced topic courses related to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
