I learned a lot about Excel capabilities, and having pre-filled Excel workbooks to practice in was really helpful at understanding what was happening. I listened to the course at 1.5x rate bc it was too slow, often skipping through sections where he was playing with different formatting or typing in things, so it was nice to have that as an option. Wish he had covered absolute/relative references at the beginning instead of at the very end. Also, wish there had been more explanation of Indirect Formulas, as even with rewinding I struggled to understand what happened. I had to pause and zoom in sometimes to see what he typed in, especially with the " " were involved, since they are tiny and need to be entirely accurate. Overall, really happy with the class. Thanks!

It is a very useful course for everyone, who doesnt have any ideas about excel or have a little bit. It will benefit alot in the future career. It saves your time while dealing with data and just explore your knowledge about excel.

Fantastic Course! A real eye opener for what is possible with Excel. Very well presented and easily followed (most times). Frustrating when my computer does nt accept the formulas and after mucking around they suddenly work! I find this very informative.!

By Maria Boznakova on 11/5/2016

Easy to follow, very well explained. Things tend to get repeated, which reduces the amount covered per hour. Also no excercises to try out the learned material. One thing is to understand, and the other to apply it.

This is a very worthwhile course. Lots of examples files are provided and the instructor imparts knowledge in a friendly and easy to understand fashion. The knowledge is relevant and if the course was recently posted I would have email Instructor about an error in one of his formulas :-) The (small adminstrative) error did not take away from the course.

I appreciate that for an Excel beginner such as myself, the sections are the perfect length for the focus of the chapter and my ability to internalize all the information. What a great instructor! No frivolous discussion and very thorough coverage of the process!

By Mark Hanshaw on 10/16/2013

This is a very nice overview of Excel. What a program! However, most people are hands on and there needs to be an interactive component to fully grasp how to operate Excel. Watching is great, but with all the different step to implement, you must key stroke it yourself to have it sink in.

This course is perfect for anyone looking for a good introduction to Excel or persons who could use a refresher. Obviously Excel can be as technical and extensive as you need it to be...with that said, this course does a great job at covering a range of applications that will allow you to optimize Excel at a general level.

By Draken Wolek on 8/6/2013

Excel is, in my opinion, one of the most complicated coding/organization programs ever, if you know nothing about coding and such. This course dumbs it down to the least common denominator while still effectively making it helpful to those who know coding well anyway. It doesn't cover everything, but there is no one is the world who can. This course is still nearly neck and neck with perfection, knowing that perfection is an endless journey. There is nothing I could, nor would change about this course.

I'm very pleased with the time I spent watching/working through the Excel 2011 for Mac Tutorial. This class is great for anyone with basic to intermediate knowledge of Excel (knowledge of Excel is VERY relative to the individual though). Personally, I had experience with Excel through grad school and work within the financial industry. With this class I learned how to apply new formulas for different uses, gained an in-depth understanding of how to use formatting to make your tables look more presentable/usable, and learned how to utilize a quality data sheet to feed into other specialized sheets. The instructor is easy to understand and never races through a subject. He did an excellent job covering each step and the working files that are included are a major added perk! The trailer to this class shows you exactly what you'll learn. Well worth the payment!
