Covers the basics very well. I will continue to use Publisher after Microsoft discontinues it in October 2026 by using it in a virtual machine with Office 2021 installed.

This was a very good course. I think those who felt it was too fast probably have little experience with any kind of office, photoshop, etc. I have self taught on some of these things for years and so I had enough familiarity with knowing what I have tried to do and struggled with. I think that is always a struggle too slow or too fast. There were a few things I didn't quite get but that was because I didn't probably need them, and couldn't relate to the concept. The one thing I don't recall being covered was some of the odd things in publisher like the circles that are locked or the bucket that rolls text over and links... I don't get it and think that would be good but not at all disappointed with the course itself.

Fast paced. Took a lot of time because I needed to have it set up on a different page so I could duplicate what instructor was doing. Hands on learner so needed to do as I learned.

The training was excellent. She was extremely patient, thorough and had an excellent lesson plan. I had two problems. In section 30.29 the video stopped halfway through and would restart at the beginning. I never got to see the Excel insertion. Also, at the beginning of that module, she directed to use internet explorer to insert a Word file. I couldn't see how that was done and can't duplicate it. Finally, I didn't understand the theme colors. I've tried to use some templates from Publisher which have themes. Please fix 30.29 (I viewed it several times to no avail.) I found it hard to reverse the lesson or start it over when I didn't catch something. In all, I learned a lot and this training has saved me many hours.

I feel like the instructor was just verbally speaking what was written on the page, not explaining how to do it or why. His explanations were confusing and didn't seem to tell us why it was relevant or relate it to an actual project.

So far, the teacher is just using/showing the commands one after the other, whether they are commands specific to Publisher or general Microsoft commands found in any other application. I keep listening since, from time to time, there is a new element, but so far it is not what I was expecting. This is really a course for beginners, although the description mentioned « all levels ». I am hoping the second half of the course will be more advanced.

This was just the right course for me. It is 20 years since I last used Publisher, and of course the software has changed beyond recognition! The speaker has a nice voice and a pleasant informal style and speaks at the pace that I can follow. She sounds as though she enjoys showing us the various details and possibilities of Publisher. I have now finished producing a brochure for a local branch of a charity, and everyone seems very pleased with it (including me)!

I knew only a little about Publisher before I took the class, but was familiar with MS Word and Powerpoint. The pace of the class was perfect for me, with that background. The instructor has such a pleasant speaking voice and relaxing style. I enjoyed it and learned a lot.

Pretty good course and covered a lot on how to make a 4-page booklet. Didn't know all that stuff about how to make your own tabs and shortcuts, so that was helpful. My booklet was going to be bigger, like 8 to 12 pages, and I wished she had talked about making a Table of Contents. Also maybe some talk about linking text boxes for text overflow. But got some good ideas.

This is a very good match for me the instructor is very detailed oriented. The teaching is excellent I made a good choice. My only negative remark is a couple times the computer froze while she was teaching.
