No prior knowledge is required. And there are regular Practice Activities and quizzes to help you remember the information, so you can be sure that you are learning.
Once you have completed this course, you will have an expanded knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. And with some practice, you could even take the official Microsoft exams, which will get you four Microsoft Office Specialist certifications – Word Associate, Excel Associate, PowerPoint Associate, and the overall Microsoft Office Specialist Associate. Wouldn't these official Microsoft certifications look good on your CV or resume? And if you are an American college student, you might even get college credit for passing each of these exams.

This course was a fantastic way to learn about major Microsoft Office programs. The instructor teaches you how to use the programs, not just what you need to pass the certification exams. I would have personally liked to have more practice exams that mirror the way that the certification exams are run, i.e. their layout and what to expect. but overall I would recommend this course to anyone interested in learning Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint!

Excited about being able to really understand and validate what I already know and what I will be able to offer my future employer through this certification process. Ready to go!

I have been using these programs for over twenty years, and I still learned a few things I hadn't discovered on my own. I passed the exams with flying colors. :) Great instructor, great course!

MO-100: My son who is 13 years old has passed his MO-100 (Word Specialist) exam today (05/09/2022, DD/MM/YYYY). He scored 93%, the invigilator laughed with joy. He went through linkedIn Learning videos along with this one and he said this course (Udemy) was the best as it was more in depth. MO-300: My eldest son passed his PowerPoint exam yesterday (30/12/2022) with an amazing score of 1000 (100%) This is truly a well structured course, extremely well presented , with clear instruction and follows the MOS curriculum perfectly.

This is an outstanding course that covers the basics of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint! It thoroughly covers the skills-measured documents for the MO-100, 200, and 300 exams. Phillip Burton is quite possibly the most organized and thorough instructor that I've come across on Udemy. Every course of his I've enrolled in has been a well-planned and careful exploration of the program/service. He carefully walks through the objectives Microsoft lists for each exam so nothing is left to chance. What is also so impressive is his commitment to continually update his courses as Microsoft comes out with changes: both in terms of exam material and interface changes. And these are not just cosmetic changes either -- they often involve multiple hours of new material (and the retirement of older material). I wish I could give this course six stars. Despite using Excel and Word (and to a lesser extent PowerPoint) for 25+ years, I learnt some valuable tricks. And more importantly, now better understand some of the design philosophies that MS is going for. Googling and YouTubing snippets might help in the short turn, but a Phillip Burton course will pay off dividends in the long run. Thanks again for your course and service to the learning community! Cheers, Andy.

This combined with a few practice exams that came with a rather expensive book allowed me to pass the MO-100 with a 925. It was truly this course that I really "learned" from. This is a wonderful thing.
By Juan Almazo on 1/5/2022
The intro and explanations are very optimistic.. I am confident this is the course I need to take in order to be successful. Passed Word Exam with 1000 as a score. I am confident I am watching the correct video series that will help me pass my exams and be Microsoft Office certified.

You get the info for the exams, but it is painfully filled with fluff that you don't need. Fine for people who just want to learn the programs, if you just want to finish your test - put it on 2x speed.
