One of the best courses I took. Straight forward to the point with exactly the needed information you should know. This course is not to teach you everything in details but it is opening the door for you to explore.

The course needs to be updated, so far many proposed tools do not work on Android 12. The fault is not of the professor but of Udemy which should cancel courses that are not updated.

I believe the course is really good if you want to introduce yourself with Mobile App Security Testing. However, keep in mind that you must have some prior knowledge about security testing. Unfortunately, it still isn't engaging enough, so there are chances that every once in a while, you will zone out of the videos.

It is a very interesting course, i'm not a hacker, neither i want to be one, but the course shows how "easy" is to hack and apk, with the right tools. i believe there's more complicated apk to hack, it's an important know-how. I like this course, thanks.

This course covers indepth every aspect of Android Application Penetration Testing, how I wish you could develop another course for iOS Penetration Testing to make it a Mega Solid Course for Mobile Application Penetration Testing. One interesting aspect not to forget is the variety of Tools that makes it easier for one to explore further details,Static and Dynamic Malware Analysis to mention but a few. Thorough explanations and I look forward to enrolling for your other Modules. I enjoyed!! amoko85@gmail.com

As i went through the course in details, i can see it covers up topic very well. I would recommend this course. There are certain areas which need to be more detailed and shall be covered with examples in slides as well as delivery such as OWASP top 10.

The course is really good for those who wants to learn Android apk penetration testing. It will clear all the important things about the Android apk penetration testing as well as it will provide many other resources which help you to go deeper. You will learn a lot from the resources provided in this course. This is the first course with this much of valuable information at very low charges.

Gabriel has put together a nice course. Lots of additional PDFs etc. This is not a course for beginners or for people that just want to follow an example and have it work first time. There is a lot of additional research that is required into getting tools to work, especially if you are not using a Mac book. Gabriel tries his best and answers questions quickly, but you will still have to be patient to get things working. It could do with a list of prerequisites and errata, I did the course mainly on Windows, but had to switch to Kali for some things and had to build an Ubuntu 64 bit because Docker won't run on 32 bit. I have learnt a lot and i'm pleased about that and Gabriel can't make a video that can cover every technical set up out there. But it's been a slog to get to the end.

This is a very good course. It introduces you to a wide range of key modern techniques and methodologies used in mobile penetration testing of Android applications. The lessons are easy to follow supported by resources which include pdf transcripts, zipped files, guides, urls etc.. The step-by-step demos makes it easy to repeat each test procedure on your system. It is definitely an enjoyable and truly enlightening educational package.

The course delivers what it promises. It is very practical and guides the student over a vast array of tools to help her understand, reverse and modify Android Apps. In my particular case, I was -incorrectly- expecting something related to the system itself, a "How android works internally", or something related to the book: Android Security Internals (Nikolay Elenkov). I did not find any depth, just a quick intro on how the system works, but it is fine: I should have read the course name better "Mobile Penetration Testing of Android Applications" which clearly describes and delivers. To wrap up, if you don't know how to use these tools: apktool, burp, xposed, etc, then go for it, it is totally worth your time. If you already know how to modify an Android App, then I'd skip the course. It's aimed to beginners. Having said that, thanks Gabriel! I got nice tips and learned from your course (like using logcat with Geny). 4 stars instead of 5, because there is room for improvement. Your voice/mic changes when going from video to video, the typos can be removed, etc. In other words, you can improve on how to deliver the final video.
