I will try to make this comment as constructive as possible, not focusing on destroying, so it can help the maker to improve himself upon it.The person who created this course is really knowledgeable and also has great emotional intelligence to lift the student's spirit through the course. Also this course is really good when you want to get practical knowledge about MYSQL, and need practical knowledge fast so you can get working on MYSQL right away, great if database management is not your main game, but there are significant flaws that have to be eradicated: the English used is fluid and much better than other instructors' English, but mispronounced on several key words like WHERE, VARCHAR, QUERY and others, but you can make them up as the trainer writes the queries, but other few times the English used is really indistinguishable, and the Closed Caption does not help as it can't catch what the trainer is saying either. The whole course is good but needs improvement when it comes to the last part of it on JOINS, this flaw needs to be addressed explaining in a clear way how the JOINING mechanism works in databases with clear examples, not leaving the students with the burden of finding out by themselves through exercises left to be done by them, specially the RIGHT JOIN. Besides all that, the course is good, and it is a good start.

This course is being a blessing to me and making myself a better professional at work, it allowed me to get interviews with exercises requested, and it gave me more confidence when facing the tasks, I would like to say thank you to Vasandkumarn for the wonderful and so helpful course learning about MySQL, I am a rookie but loving the course and hoping to make me a good reliable professional with lots of joy doing something I like to do. I wanted an easy way to get started with mySQL and that is exactly what I got out of this course. Especially the first 3/4s of the course were well structured and the videos built upon each other. The last part (joins) had some fillers that extended the videos unnecessarily. The course itself is very light weight and I wished there was more but bearing the price in mind it's more than adequate content.

I have an IT degree from a little over a decade ago but have been working in a somewhat non-IT related area. I found this course to be very helpful in refreshing my knowledge on SQL and the required syntax for MySQL. This instructor provides easy to follow examples that encourage the student to follow along and participate by typing the code, creating the tables, and performing the queries as the course progresses.

Enjoyed the course and beginner review. Vasandkumar consistently tried to go over each topic twice in the video to help people learn. Two things I would ask that you add or change. 1) Please add the commands used to a downloadable document for future reference. 2) I noted that somewhere in the course the table StudentsDetails changed to studentsdetails. Could you be consistent in the capitalization or no capitalization. Thanks

I'm learning MySQL for my job. I think this course did an excellent job of walking students through the fundamentals of MySQL. The lessons were easy to follow and Vasand's explanations of concepts and techniques were clear and understandable. I feel I have a much better grasp of how to use this software and would highly recommend it to other beginners. My only complaint is that he doesn't have follow up intermediate and advanced courses!

I find this course pretty good and interesting. It fulfilled my expectations, and the instructor is very engaging. The listening (both english accent and sound of his voice) is very good and clear, the learning speed is also appropiate. However, in my opinion, there are a pair of lessons where more information is needed (for example lesson 45), or some lessons that could be a little bit better explained (for example, JOIN lessons). Maybe easy schemes slides (with mobile arrows, for example) could sometimes help to explain difficult concepts. Sometimes I also have the impression, that the speech is improvised and that it could be more precise and concise. But like I said in the title, in general a good course, I recommend it.

This course was great, very informative, excellent examples and easy to follow. I found the length and breakdown of the courses prefect to allow me to absorb the information properly without overload. If I had one suggestion, I would request a more description in the join section of the differences between them all, not just how to create them. But overall, an excellent course! Thank you very much.

I needed to update my skills got a potential job I was applying for and needed a quick and cheap course to get my feet wet using SQL. This course fit the bill. It was presented in a way that I could understand the concepts; the order of the lectures allowed me to build off of them as I progressed, and I now have a better understanding of MySQL. Thank you for creating and presenting the course. I created a word document where I copied and pasted notes and screen shots. Well Done!!

I thought this course overall was an excellent introduction to MySql. It went over many useful aspects in MySql and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn. However there are a couple things that I think could be added to make the course better. The first is more engaging activities or quizzes to confirm the the student understands the material. I lot of the time I felt I was simply copying the instructor's code, and often times I wished there was a more detailed test to make sure I understood. Lastly, I think the course should include how to drop a key (unique key for example). I found once in the course I added a unique key where it shouldn't, and I was unsure of how to drop it (I tried using alter and modify for the column but it didn't work). I wish this was included in the course. Overall a great course and I would greatly recommend.
