I am an IT professional who started its career as a computer programmer on IBM Mainframes. My programming experience involved Cobol and some variation of the Cobol language used in the military. As time went by the Microcomputers came along and I was fascinated by them because they were affordable to people. It allowed me to to experiment by building micro computers, installing and configuring software, upgrading hardware, software and teaching users how to use the computer applications.
I've taken courses all the way from programming to hardware and then to networking. But nothing is more challenging and rewarding than working hands on. You gain experience, knowledge, develop patience, troubleshooting techniques, workflow and networking with other professionals.
After some amount of time I became a Network system administrator on different Networks until i became a Windows NT network admin. I have worked with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, SQL and other Windows networking products. I worked on networks of over 5,000 users spread all across the US. The smallest network I worked on had about 1,800 users.
Eventually I was given the task to migrate our company's Microsoft Exchange users to Microsoft Office 365 in the Cloud. That project allowed me to work side by side with Microsoft Field Engineers and set up Office 365 for our company. We started from the ground without any experience on Office 365.

I was hoping for a bit more information about the product specifics versus a VERY high-level review of Microsoft and O365. I know there are other paid trainings that would go in-depth, but I don't feel that this provided enough of a peek into O365 for what I was wanting. The included Microsoft videos were good and made up most of the "training".

Pros: - Basic information - A good and easily graspable overview of functions & structure. - Step by step which helps to understand why it's so powerful. - Information that easily could be overlooked. Cons: - Video quality & framerate is quite lackluster. - Visual cuts when audio is cut which can cause a lack of focus - Sometimes hard to understand & hear due to accent & audio cuts - Half the content is from webcasts that Microsoft themselves designed & seems to be directed towards someone who's at least at an intermediate or higher level.

Great content for a conveniently short course, combined with a knowledgeable instructor with broad experience of the evolution of computing from the days of mainframes. Impressed. This course delivered more than I expected. Now I hope Office 365 does the same... :-)

Our personal care agency is moving to the cloud, so I wanted to learn more about it. I also wanted to know more about O365; I will search out to learn more, but for a basic overview, I was satisfied with what I learned.

I really enjoyed the presentation about the Microsoft Cloud facilities (all generations, engineering, designs, insights, etc.) and also about the new features from the "garage" presentation so keep that . But as for Office 365 it lacks the "minimum decent info" for a starting course/introduction to understand the whole general picture of what it does and how it does it, not just "what it is by name and who made it" (similar to a random search on google/bing, less than a generic 2 minute paragraph reading). I actually listened on a speed of 1.5x and skipped unnecessary info. Thank God for the already-made videos, right ? Keep your chin up Robert Mira

It was a great introduction on how office 365 works. What cloud computing is, where it is housed, and a tour of the Microsoft facilities. Instructor was very easy to understand, and was informative.

This has been a great course in learning the basics of Office 365. From the upgraded systems and installation of the networks of Microsoft to a great presentation showing how the Office 365 system works in business and with the use of the cloud.
