Oracle GoldenGate 12c database replication workshop (Udemy.com)

The course is very basic, I understand that's the objective. It would have been great if it had covered topics like replicating between different RDBMS and using the Classic Method. Because of that, I'm giving it a 3-star rating.

Disable trigger is on Clapton or Moore? You said there are three things to check first before do golden gate but no video to verify to check and ALTER if needed for this three things (LOGGING, SUPPLEMENTAL, sorry forgot the other one)

Bem pontual e claro. O instrutor domina o assunto, tem didática. O curso é bem extenso e abrangente no assunto. Executa os comandos. Senti falta de poder pegar os slides, mas o instrutor disse que tem direitos reservados sobre o material, o que faz sentido. Os recursos em texto fornecidos poderiam trazer todos os comandos executados, mas nada disso tira o mérito do curso. É bom.

Javier Morales Carreras has a great short course concerning Oracle GoldenGate. The total time to play through the videos is less than 2 hours and much of the video material is the instructor merely speaking to the camera. But The course is made up of many guided assignments which provide many great examples of code and commands. The course includes full installation steps for Oracle Database and Oracle GoldenGate. While an overview briefly describes the many capabilities of Oracle GoldenGate to integrate with numerous Database platforms, the course itself focuses on replicating data within a single Oracle Database or between 2 Oracle Databases. The final section contains many links to official documentations and a long list of error codes and possible problems and solutions to look for when troubleshooting, which is really great.

Tal vez hay que hacer énfasis en algunas cosas como por ejemplo, remarcar en que servidores se están haciendo las modificaciones, aunque la mayor parte se hizo en el servidor clapton, algunas cosas debían revisarse o ser ejecutadas en el servidor moore y no se especificaba claramente que se debía trabajar en dicho servidor. En general buen curso.

I like the fact that most of the modules are paired with hands-on lab exercises. This helps to enforce what is being learned, and the occasional "hiccup" when something doesn't work quite right in the lab is valuable troubleshooting skill-building.

This is my first experience with Oracle GoldenGate application. The course was organized such that, I could go through the steps with minimal challenges. I felt like I was a genus at the end of the course. Each theoretical lesson was followed by a practical lab for a real life experience. Thanks Professor for also including at the end of course, additional links where we can continue to polish our ideas.

This is one of the best GG course i ever see in Udemy. 100% practical, easy to understand and direct to the point. My suggestion to make it almost perfect would be: Extend section about Troubleshooting and conflicts resolution and also cover different configurations like Downstreams Integrated Extract. This is a no-nonsense hands on guide to golden gate. If you are familiar with golden gate architecture and need a quick brush up then you would feel at home with this course.You would be equally comfortable if you are in a hurry to get your hands dirty with goldengate. I have taken of half a star from the course because the title of the course is Practical Oracle Golden Gate and yet for some very strange reason the Instructor does not cover Conflict Detection and Resolution which you would always encounter whenever you replicate any data.Since Author teaches Oracle Golden gate 12.3. I expect him to undoubtedly cover this there is no excuse for not covering it. Hope the instructor is generous enough to take this feedback positively and cover Automatic CDR and the scenarios and earn a Five Star rating on this course.
