Anthony Pfohl
Hey there! I'm Anthony Pfohl, Jr., and I've been teaching drawing and watercolor for more than five years now. I founded Watercolor Guru because I noticed that most online watercolor instruction is overly-simplified, seeming to glaze over the important details.
I like to teach students the real, actual methods that I use to make a finished work, not just the theory. My classes dive deep into the nitty-gritty of painting, and my students finish feeling confident in what they learned and enthusiastic to keep learning.
Thanks, and I'll see you in class!

Lowest sound. Not hearing the video audio. So depressing.

The importance of being able to draw, technique, tools. I really wasn’t too interested in water colour as a medium until I watched this, I like portraits and like acrylics. But will definitely be trying watercolour

I found all of the info very interesting - I've used photoshop somewhat so I really liked the instructions on how to optimize for painting. For me it was marred by the fact that the audio is WAY too low. I have my laptop volume at 100% and still had a hard time hearing.

I’m fairly new to watercolour but I’ve been using Photoshop for years yet I still learned some new tricks from this video…an unexpected bonus. I’m really looking forward to the rest of the course.

While my painting style is quite different, I still learned quite a lot that I can successfully apply to my work.

amazingly done but when you mixup color one to another the another then that time just little bit confusing.....overall it was very good experience to see your technique........i give you 5 star

Not only was this easy to follow and super informative, but I really loved the two-person back and forth. The questions asked during the course were super helpful, addressing things that otherwise might not have been. I’ll watch this one again and again.

i'll watch this several times. There's lots to learn from this video. Would have liked a bit more in the drawing section, as I'm weak in that area. Excellent video!

It's a stretch for me as I'm not yet an intermediate painter. I did download Anthony's pdf, How to Paint Eyes. That helped me a lot on the modeling section dealing with eyes.
