Ingo Depner

Hi, my name is Ingo Depner. I am a professional German teacher with 15 years of experience and the founder of German Online Gym.

Over the years, I have helped thousands of learners improve their German through clear explanations, practical exercises, pronunciation training, conversation practice, and structured online courses. I have worked with learners at many different levels, from self-study students to professionals, executives, board members, and government employees.

My teaching style is clear, practical, and encouraging. I believe German becomes much easier when you understand the logic behind the language, practice step by step, and use material that feels relevant to your real life.

In my courses, I focus on helping you build confidence, understand natural German more easily, improve your pronunciation, and express yourself with more clarity.

Today, my work also includes The Language of Happiness, where I combine German learning with personal growth and meaningful topics for intermediate and advanced learners.

You do not need to be perfect. You need a clear path, good explanations, and regular practice.

That is what my courses are designed to give you.

If you are a long time learner of German and it's been a few years since you've studied, then I would recommend this course. He has picked up what trips up so many of us when we're learning this language. Also, I would recommend this as an addendum for college learners after your 1st semester or so. I liked it so much I'm taking his conversation course next.

Good tips for beginners like me. The entire course in pdf resource at the end is useful. More examples and a step by step approach would have been great. Spasse und interresant lerne ! Vielen Dank. Grüße von Gayendri aus Sri Lanka.

Excellent course. Really helped clear up some issues for me. It is short, however, so I would recommend anyone interested pick it up during one of the discount periods. Nonetheless, I would recommend. Practically essential.

Learning new ways on how to approach the language can help me to become more confident when speaking German. But, as I already speak German at a certain level, I found the examples pretty basic. I was expecting more depth.

By Ankit SHELADIYA on 7/6/2020

Short and informative with useful Quiz questions makes this course one of its kind. I was able to learn and correct the mistakes I make in day to day life using the German language.

By Nidhi Nagabhushan on 7/4/2020

Great course to correct some of the major and most common mistakes we, as learners make.
I especially loved some of the techniques like the word order remembrance technique. Very useful.
Explained in a simple and easy to understand manner.
