PHP & MySQL - Certification Course for Beginners (Udemy.com)

In lecture 28, I'm getting the error - Parse error: syntax error, unexpected token "if" on line 24. But the code runs fine in the video. Can you help me? I've checked multiple times for missing ; and {,(, etc. I cannot continue unless this form runs.

Nice overview, especially if you're already familiar with another programming language. Not sure if newbies to coding will grasp the depth and complexities of object-oriented programming in a 3 min segment tho. Got WAMP up and running and got to play with some PHP and MySQL. I had fun making interactive webpages and learned a lot so 5/5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pros: - The course is great as a short introduction to PHP and MySQL. - Clear audio - Exercise files Cons: - Resolution is less than 1080p and the text used on screen is quite small causing it to become a little bit pixelated. Still readable though you may need to maximize on screen. Might not be clear on mobile. - Highlight color around cursor is too opaque and somewhat blocks what is beneath. This is especially noticeable when the lecturer uses the cursor to point at specific areas of text.

the screen is very small. I don't understand why there isn't zoom on the specific line. my eyes are hurting. Also, the sound can be stronger. there are many concepts that people without any programming experience won't understand: what is stylesheet? HTML? stuff like that. I didn't know how to set a swamp server. I didn't take your former course. there should have been a lecture how to install it. lecture 33 is cut off in the end.

I think, as a beginner, it's difficult to understand what all the terms are, so when things are copy and pasted you're not talking through them as much. So it can be a bit confusing as to why specifically you're using certain terms, things get rushed over pretty quickly. Could do with short Question and Answer tests or something to help understand it more thoroughly. - UPDATE on completion, the second half of the course to do with the SQL statements was very handy and just what I was after.

So far I've been learning the basics of PHP, which is why I took the course to start with so the course is meeting my expectations. What would exceed my expectations would be if the instructor was a bit more engaging or sounded more enthusiastic about the course. But it doesn't detract from what I'm learning so I'm satisfied. I have now finished the course and have learnt the basics of working with PHP and MySQL. This course is to the point and does not take too long to get through which is a bonus.

It was a good match. I'm a third year Electronic and Telecommunication engineering student at University of Moratuwa Sri Lanka. I found this course while i was searching for a course to follow along with my academic works. Reasonable amount of knowledge was gained from a period of time.

Excellent course, i'm a native spanish speaker and understand every word you say on videos. Very well explained each video. For users, try to copy the code on each video, this take more time but you go understand better whats happen and how work.

I think that this course have a very good structure for beginners!! My opinion is positive because explain very good in short time the basics. Also describes very accurate how works php with mysql in short videos. I recommend this course for beginners like me.

The material knowledge of the lecturer is worse than mine in some areas he does not explain simple things like an array starts at 0 thus the length is always one more than the max key. and a couple of other areas I picked up. Very dry lecture sort of monotone.

from my own point of view this course is an outstanding one.through this course we able to learn PHP scripting as a programming language , and anyone can easily learn PHP through this course because of it's beauty of examples with database and font-end page. thanks sir so much for giving us a precious one
