Polish Language Course - Learn Polish from 0 - Beginner (Udemy.com)

I really like the resources provided which include the explanation of how parcel works there, various useful website to support the learning process, and other useful files. Weronica is really preparing everything, not only from the language acquisition, but the preparation for those who may have plan to travel or relocate to Poland.

It is the most comprehensive Polish course out of those available on Udemy and for the price you pay, you get a good amount of material. It is not the same as having 1:1 lessons with a Polish teacher but you get your money's worth and I believe it is a decent introduction to the language. Weronika has put great effort and passion into these video lessons and it shows. That being said, I believe there are some areas for improvement. I believe the written material/slides she uses could be better organized. The tables she shows to explain grammar can sometimes feel cluttered or lacking structure. Sometimes in the examples section of a lesson, words are introduced that were not given in the previous vocabulary lesson. I also believe more vocabulary and examples could be given in-between grammar lessons, and definitely there could be way more variety of exercises for each lesson, beyond just "you translate the sentence now". Along with this course, I use a language book, and the exercises in it make you learn the same thing over and over using different cognitive pathways, which I believe really reinforces the vocabulary and grammar; this is something that is lacking in this course. A smaller pet peeve is that her camera frame sometimes overlaps the written material. My biggest problem is the teacher's English, though. She lacks vocabulary and often simply uses the wrong words or expressions. I think for a language as complex as Polish, extremely solid skills (native or near-native) in whatever language you are teaching (i.e. English) is a requirement. This is felt sorely when she tries to explain grammatical cases, for example. I think that without the Polish book I am using, my understanding of Polish grammar would be botched and all over the place. So yeah, I hope this is something she can work on in the future. In any case, I congratulate and thank Weronika for having created such an extensive course and for helping people to learn this wonderful, although at times puzzling, language.

Weronica from my side has the capability to convey the main things about Polish grammar and speaking tips. The way lessons are structured is perfect, with lessons, examples and excercises, in order to let us train. I strongly recommend this course for those who want to start learning Polish!

Very good course - fun and easy to follow. Weronika is a really nice presenter/teacher and I especially like how the course is broken down into sections with a clear structure and plan. The additional memes, songs, links, Facebook group etc are a cool addition so you don't just see the same old boring stuff as in a typical textbook. I can feel my Polish improving already (on day 4). One small comment - in some sections the questions/sentences ask for words that were not actually mentioned in the lesson. Ok you can look them up yourself, but it would make more sense if the questions only ask for words that were actually taught already.

I've found this course to be very helpful. The grammar explanations are clear with an emphasis on the importance of speaking and the sound of the language; the resource material is detailed, clear, and practical. From being intimidated by Polish, this course has given me, via Veronika's encouraging manner, the motivation to persist in my journey in mastering the complexities of Polish, no matter the setbacks. Learning a language is an immersive journey that I now feel emboldened to continue.

The course is good. But please do not direct us to a cheat sheet or something else all the time. It is really boring and not clear most of the time. If I were to learn from a pdf or a book I would not be here anyway. I believe we can do it without it. Of course we should/can refer to it from time to time but we cannot rely on it. Languages develop naturally and we can learn them naturally.

This rating will probably change later. I am on section one, reading practice. I think that the practice is to understand the letter sounds in words so that you can read them, but not knowing what the words mean is frustrating for me. Most of the words I look at appear to be different. I'm hoping to be able to create sentences by myself at some point. Hopefully, the course won't be just about learning phrases and vocabulary. Fingers crossed.

This course is absolutely fantastic! The lessons are clear, engaging, and easy to follow, making learning Polish feel natural and enjoyable. Great explanation of the sounds for each individual letter and combination. Now I understand why certain words sound the way they do. This should make speaking and reading Polish much easier. Also, this course explains things other courses mention but don’t explain. The exercises give practice in applying what we are learning. This course is the most useful one I’ve taken.

I’m watching the course because it’s available on my udemy business account and it’s so informative! I have completed half so far and I’m very happy I enroled. I’m half greek half polish, but never managed to learn the language. The grammar part is very well explained. I’m starting to understand and speak Polish :>
