Quality speaks for itself:
SAMPLE QUESTION:
You are working as a data scientist at a financial services company tasked with developing a credit risk prediction model. After experimenting with several models, including logistic regression, decision trees, and support vector machines, you find that none of the models individually achieves the desired level of accuracy and robustness. Your goal is to improve overall model performance by combining these models in a way that leverages their strengths while minimizing their weaknesses.
Given the scenario, which of the following approaches is the MOST LIKELY to improve the model’s performance?
1. Use a simple voting ensemble, where the final prediction is based on the majority vote from the logistic regression, decision tree, and support vector machine models
2. Implement boosting by training sequentially different types of models - logistic regression, decision trees, and support vector machines - where each new model corrects the errors of the previous ones
3. Apply stacking, where the predictions from logistic regression, decision trees, and support vector machines are used as inputs to a meta-model, such as a random forest, to make the final prediction
4. Use bagging, where different types of models - logistic regression, decision trees, and support vector machines - are trained on different subsets of the data, and their predictions are averaged to produce the final result
What's your guess? Scroll below for the answer.
Correct: 3
Explanation:
Correct option:
Apply stacking, where the predictions from logistic regression, decision trees, and support vector machines are used as inputs to a meta-model, such as a random forest, to make the final prediction
In bagging, data scientists improve the accuracy of weak learners by training several of them at once on multiple datasets. In contrast, boosting trains weak learners one after another.
Stacking involves training a meta-model on the predictions of several base models. This approach can significantly improve performance because the meta-model learns to leverage the strengths of each base model while compensating for their weaknesses.
For the given use case, leveraging a meta-model like a random forest can help capture the relationships between the predictions of logistic regression, decision trees, and support vector machines.

Incorrect options:
Use a simple voting ensemble, where the final prediction is based on the majority vote from the logistic regression, decision tree, and support vector machine models - A voting ensemble is a straightforward way to combine models, and it can improve performance. However, it typically does not capture the complex interactions between models as effectively as stacking.
Implement boosting by training sequentially different types of models - logistic regression, decision trees, and support vector machines - where each new model corrects the errors of the previous ones - Boosting is a powerful technique for improving model performance by training models sequentially, where each model focuses on correcting the errors of the previous one. However, it typically involves the same base model, such as decision trees (e.g., XGBoost), rather than combining different types of models.
Use bagging, where different types of models - logistic regression, decision trees, and support vector machines - are trained on different subsets of the data, and their predictions are averaged to produce the final result - Bagging, like boosting, is effective for reducing variance and improving the stability of models, particularly for high-variance models like decision trees. However, it usually involves training multiple instances of the same model type (e.g., decision trees in random forests) rather than combining different types of models.

Outstanding! Passed on 1st try. I also passed the AWS Solutions Architect Assoc exam by studying mock tests from the same author. If you already have a ML/ AWS cloud background, this may be the only study guide you need. I passed and this is all I studied. Make sure you can get 88%+ on all 3 exams -- read all all the documentation links and fully understand the 'wrong' answers. If you are new to ML/ AWS, this probably won't be enough for you. I have a MS in MIS and work in an AWS cloud role. If you are new to AI/ML I'd recommend supplementing this with additional study guides.

The practice exams are hard, and very long testing deep knowledge, In the actual exam there were a lot of questions based on knowing the exact API call codes with syntax which were not in the practice test. But overall focusing on questions other than I was able to pass the exam on the first attempt with a score of 793 . I recommend buying another pack of practice tests as just 3 tests are lesser than needed .

Useful to practice for the exam. However, many questions are unclear and hard to understand (wording). Moreover, found several contradictions in the suggested responses across different tests. Also got several illogical answers, with unconvincing and unclear explanations. Submitting these questions to different Gen AI tools always produced the same answer, which was always different from the one provided in the exam practice! Makes you worry about how accurate the tests are.

The questions gave me a good idea of how the question will be like. My advice would be to read thoroughly on each topic you fail. Know differences, as those questions come out alot. Some questions repeated but I think there are new and fresh questions in the main exam. Overall this gave me a firm and broad understading of what TYPE of questions to expect!

I have sat a few other exam papers, but this revealed many holes in my preperation. The answers were very clear, whether I answered by elimination or by identifying immediately the correct answer.

"This course covers all the topics required to clear the exam. I practiced thoroughly and was able to pass with a score of 839. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wishes to pass the exam. Thank you!"

These were quite useful in covering knowledge gaps even for the Specialty level. The details in explaining why certain answers are correct as well as why others weren't and where they'd be applicable instead, saved me a lot of time in digging and going throught the official docs. The author's practice exams & lectures (I did practicioner and architect as well) are really worth the money.

I second some of the reviews that say that these practice exams give a good feel of what kind of questions to expect in the actual test, I passed the exam last week. I found that the actual test toughness level was similar to these practice tests. Also felt that the longer questions here give you an edge when it comes to finishing off the actual exam on time.
By Nikhil Kardale on 10/28/2024
These practice tests mimic the type and the depth of the actual questions. The focus for this certification is primarily on the Sagemaker service. I'd like to see a set of 3 practice tests instead of the current set of 2, in order to add enough variety to the knowledge-base, but the authors have done a great job nevertheless.

The course is good, but I am VERY annoyed by the big overview bar that I cannot seem to close. Only if I go into full screen mode will it disappear... It's incredibly blocking when trying to review my questions, and I don't like working in this fullscreen mode. Please include a minimize button for this menu which is COMPLETLY useless when I want to review my questions, but blocks my view and makes me need to microscroll the page.
