I think that the teacher is pretty easy to follow and I feel prepared for my upcoming process capability interview. The content was enough for me to watch in a day and a half at 2x speed, with pausing here and there to look up certain concepts on my own. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I thought that the "quizes" or "role-playing" or any of the test your knowledge modules were not very thoughtful. For example, 3 straight questions on calculating standard deviation or mean which is just plugging numbers in a calculator I think weren't very useful.

Excellent and very informative course. The instructor explains Process Capability Analysis concepts such as Cp, Cpk, Pp, and Ppk in a very clear, practical, and professional manner. Even though these topics can sometimes feel very statistical and difficult to follow, the lectures and Excel demonstrations made the material much easier to understand and apply in real industrial situations. What I appreciated most was how this training helped me connect quality engineering concepts with industrial control systems, process engineering, operational troubleshooting, and industrial data analysis. The course gave me a much better understanding of how process variation, specification limits, and capability indices can relate to real operational performance in manufacturing and automation systems. From my perspective, I could see strong correlations between Process Capability Analysis and closed-loop control systems, especially PID-controller behavior and tuning methods such as Ziegler–Nichols. The discussions about variation and process stability helped me think differently about process dynamics, controller parameters, and operational performance monitoring. I also found interesting similarities between specification limits used in capability analysis and operational limits typically found in P&ID documentation, instrumentation I/O lists, and process control systems. Additionally, this course helped me better understand high-order transfer-function mathematical models, integrating systems, and state-space methods from a more practical and operational viewpoint. It also gave me useful ideas for alarm management analysis and investigating operational disturbances through First-In/First-Out (FIFO) process tags and values. I believe there is a very strong practical relationship between these areas, and this course provided an excellent foundation for further investigation and improvement work. The downloadable templates, practical examples, and step-by-step explanations were extremely useful and made the learning experience much more engaging. The instructor is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the subject, and the course structure makes difficult concepts much easier to absorb. Overall, I highly recommend this course to Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, Process Engineers, Continuous Improvement professionals, automation specialists, and anyone interested in combining statistical quality analysis with real industrial process performance and control system understanding. This training provides both strong theoretical foundations and practical industrial applications that are immediately useful in real operations. A very big thank you!

I highly recommend this course! The instructor explains every concept clearly and in a well-structured way, making even complex topics easy to understand. The lessons are engaging, the examples are practical, and the overall content is extremely well organized. This is definitely one of the best courses I’ve taken on Udemy. 5 stars!

This is a wonderful course. Last year I started working as Quality Engineer (QE) thanks to my background in GMP, Quality, but without prior QE experience. Therefore on my new role, every day I am learning something new (which is great btw). A few months back, I was requested to perform statistical analysis on the data I received from the production. Eventually, I had to perform Process Capability about which I had no idea. Thanks to this course I have learned all the essential information required to perform Process Capability Analysis and also evaluate the results. Even though I used Minitab software offered by our company (which made things so much easier), it is very important to know how those calculations are made and what the used terms (such as Ppk, Cpk, Std, 6s, PPm, DPMO etc.) represent. I will definitely check the other courses from this lecturer to broaden my knowledge within the Quality field. Thank you for such a great course!!

I would like to thank Ray Harkins for this very informative course on Process capability analysis. The course material designed such a way to clear all the basic concepts. Practical course for a quality professional. #processcontrol #processcapability below are the key take aways from this course: - what is Cp, CpK and Pp, Ppk - practical examples with excel sheet are very helpful to understand the concept - Equivalent CpK and it's use in determining attribute capability index. - Taguchi's loss function and sturges' rule. - Use of Normdist and Norminv in excel.

Hello Mr. Harkins, Regarding the course of " Calculating Equivalent CPK", can you help to identify two things: 1. This concept of equivalent CPK you used which was based on the distribution of Normal, while the example looks likely follow the Possion-distribution. How can we ensure the percentage of interest point correct if the distribution different(un-fit) ? if we use another sampling from normal and possion population distribution, will change to another result/percentage. 2. the example showed 7 boxes each 10000pcs with different defects, can we use DPMO/DPU to calculate and plus 1.5 shift std to know the Zbench or sigma level, then convert to percentage, the CPK of Z value? Regards,

The course contents were organized well & the topics explained well. I found the first few topics less interesting, but from sampling options onward, the course was excellent. The additional topics covered were a great learning, and the icing was the last section on all the courses and how they are connected in learning quality, management & career advancement - big thanks for this!

Hi.. the explanation is very crisp and precise (Even a non-engineer could understand). The author knows what he is saying and is conveying things better than the other lectures i attended previously, atleast that's what i felt. I highly recommend this course to all the professionals and students who are in the field of Statistics, Industrial engineering and six sigma practitioner to understand what process capability is in easy way. After this lecture i calculated the Cp and Pp for my In-time and out-time from my company and I'm pretty happy to see what's my capability to be on time to the factory. Even I explained these concepts to my HR and told him to check the individual capability and the overall employee's capability whether all the employees are coming to factory on time and where do we lie. By this i can say it is not only related to manufacturing but it can also be used for service sectors. Thank you Mr. Harkins for your knowledge sharing and thank you Udemy for this wonderful course.

Fabulous! Trust me (whoever interested in capability analysis) you will find this course helpful. Without his updated (addition) practical exercises in Excel, I feel like I need to take a step back in order to move forward. Some could find this course a bit basic but it is useful (to me) since Dr. Ray talks in practical way. God bless you, and we expect more and more lessons in field of production and supply chain!
