Course Description
To make effective product decisions, the best Product Managers from Tier One tech companies employ a variety of frameworks (lenses if you will) in order to make great decisions.
These frameworks help Product leaders make sense of and evaluate the vast array of inputs that they receive on a daily basis.
This course provides and overview of the absolute best frameworks in a clear, concise, and actionable manner so that you can make more efficient and effective decisions.
- We will review the master framework to ensure that you're able to answer the three most important questions any Product leader must answer about their product?
- We'll cover the most import daily, weekly, and sprintly processed that the best Product leaders put in place to deliver great products to the market (and we'll explain what a sprint is too :) )
- We'll introduce you to the Hypothesis, Experiments, Tests, and Insights framework to ensure your work is supported by scientific rigor.
- You will see that not all web users are created equal and neither are their needs through the User Hierarchy of Needs.
Note: this course is NOT a deep dive into the specifics of Product Management nor is it even a deep dive into the application of each scenario where you might utilize these frameworks. Think of this course as flying over a range of mountain peaks so you can see the possibilities below rather than a multi-week expedition where you must master the granular details. That being said, with this overview, you will see vantage points that those who are 'stuck at basecamp' will never see and thus will be enabled to do things they will never be able to do.

As a beginner in the PO ecosystem I can confirm that this training bring some really important insight about the product management, even being a pro at the topic, I believe we can extract some real important content and ideias to improve.

Good primer on Product Management basics. Nice pace, good examples, but might need a bit of a refresher to keep up with latest trends.

I quickly reviewed this course to add to our product training course. The course is lacking examples on how to build real world products. It seems to be overkill on power point, website, an other material reading that anyone could google to find out. There is no training aids, best practices or anything for a person to download to have a toolbag of tips and tricks on best practices for product management.

Provided an overview of the Product Manager role while still keeping the course basic and informative.

I was thinking the course would be more about specific frameworks that could be used with Agile, not a whole section talking about Agile meetings

I could relate a lot of the content with my work in the automotive industry. The terminology is a little different than what we use in the company but both seem to be built on the same foundation. #Good, what I expected.

I've taken a couple product management courses on udemy and you'd think they'd all be very similar. That's actually not the case. I thought Gary brought a really interesting perspective when we spoke about hypotheses vs. ideas and the scientific theory as applied to product management. As an engineer, that made a lot of sense. Overall, a great course. I'd recommend.

I enjoyed the course. Would like more real-life applications and perhaps questions or a quiz to emphasize certain key points learned.
