Project Management: Want to Master the Schedule of Your Project's Monitoring and Controlling Phase? If so, you've come to the right place!
While practicing Project Management, when you execute a large project, it is generally divided in five phases: Project Initiation, Project Planning, Project Execution, Project Monitoring and Controlling, and Project Closure. Amongst these five phases, it is said that the Project Monitoring and Controlling phase is the most difficult of all phases. This, Project Monitoring and Controlling phase, is considered difficult because during this phase:
You compare your planned work with the actual work that happens in your project
You identify deviation between the planned and the actual work
And you deploy corrective or preventive actions to minimize the impact of those deviations.
Similarly, every large project has several project management knowledge areas. Of these, Schedule Management is considered a critical knowledge area. According to the Project Management Institute, ineffective Schedule Management is one of the top seven reasons why projects fail. And project managers never want their projects to fail. So, it becomes imperative to effectively manage your project schedule and keep it on-track to achieve the desired project objectives.
These are the reasons why I have created this course which is a complete project management guide that specializes in Monitoring and Controlling your Project Schedule.

Have you ever finished a project on time and still watched it get cancelled? That's the exact scenario this course opens with, and it's why it works. Iyer doesn't teach schedule management as a spreadsheet exercise — he teaches it as a communication discipline. The Project Schedule Reporting Tracker alone is worth the enrollment: a one-page artifact that takes stakeholders from deliverables down to activities down to tasks, with schedule risks and owners at the bottom. I've built it and I'm using it. What sets this apart from most PM courses is that nothing stays theoretical. The three charts — timeline, multi-view Gantt, and burndown — are built in Excel step by step, on screen, with the raw data provided. The multi-view Gantt in particular (planned bar, actual bar, and % completion in a single view) is a genuinely useful build I hadn't found elsewhere. Every section ends with an activity on the same running case study, and every activity has a solution lecture. The Download Center consolidates all of it in one place — templates, datasets, handouts, solutions — which made offline study and real reuse straightforward. Fast tracking, project crashing, schedule-vs-cost trade-offs and scope reduction are explained with a decision logic you can actually apply on Monday, not just define on an exam. One suggestion for a future version: the concepts are timeless, but the toolset is Excel-only. Adding a module on modern scheduling platforms and AI-assisted tracking would multiply the value of an already strong conceptual core. Recommended for PMs who deliver well but get judged badly because nobody upstream knows it.

Good coverage of project schedule controls with useful tools and examples; helped reinforce practical understanding.

Very rarely would i build a gantt chart from scratch. There is a lot of software out there that already does this. The burn-down chart is nice but again i feel there are automated tools that can make the setup easier.

The material covered was excellent. However, I could not complete any of the excel activities due to the difference in the excel version used in this video. The instructors right click menus options did not match the menus in the newer version I was using. Various custom input fields used in this video, do not exist in my version.

Happy with the course learning, explanation is very crip and clear. I suggest to include more Theory and Activity based assignment which can support to clear the CAPM Course.
