Course Description

Do you want to build React JS portfolio project the real way? In this React training, you will learn the key concepts of React while building a Quiz project.

React is currently the most popular front-end framework. It's easy to begin with yet it's very capable even for building large-scale professional web-applications. In this course, we learn the fundamentals of React while creating a real project which will be deployed to production.

While building React JS portfolio project we dive into the fundamentals of React like:

  • How to break down your application into smaller pieces, into components?

  • How to structure your business logic and manage state and how to connect these to our components?

  • How to deal with component changes, what is the state, what to store in it, and where to define it?

  • How to add interaction and how does re-rendering work in React?

  • How to communicate with real API from React application

  • How to deploy your React application on your real server (You will need to pay for a server for deployment or just follow along)

We don't learn dry theory or go through each step of React documentation. Instead, you can see on the real example how you can use React to build applications.

Requirements:

This is an intro course, no prior React knowledge is required, but HTML, CSS, and Javascript skills are necessary.

Great session! Your presentation was masterclass. Your explanations were clear, well-structured, and easy to follow. The examples you shared were very practical and helped in better understanding the concepts. Overall, it was a valuable and productive learning experience. Thank you for an excellent session.

Pretty good for a "crash course". React is a huge subject, so don't expect to be an expert after this. As a visual learner, I would have benefited from a diagram illustrating the interactions between the different areas of React. There were also places where SonarQube complained about aspects of the code that were written, but these issues could be attributed to the expediency required for a crash course. My JavaScript knowledge is also somewhat dated, so having a better understanding of modern JavaScript would have been beneficial to me.

It's great for learning the basics of React. However, the instructor often jumps between files and concepts without providing much depth or detailed explanations. Depending on your learning style, this approach can be either helpful or frustrating. I found myself rewatching each video about three times to fully grasp the material. Ultimately, I've decided to skip the last two sections. At this point, continuing feels counterproductive, as I need to pause frequently to conduct additional research on each topic. Would recommend if you like doing your own research and can put more time that what the course is supposed to last.

Fast paced, but the instructor used his time well in prioritizing the most crucial concepts ( state ). My old JavaScript enabled me to keep up. A decent amount of experience with JavaScript, development, and some tools is a must. This course would not work well for a complete beginner to web development.

It was a useful introduction to React, but I felt the pace was a bit too fast - I had to keep pausing the video to type in the code as I wanted to follow along coding alongside the videos. I don't feel very prepared as yet to start on a new react project as I've mainly just followed the instruction of the course.

amazing course, which has equipped me with all the necessary skill I require for a junior react developer. As I have a working experience with angular this course was completed in a breeze. The tutor is a very knowledgeable person. I am following him for a very long time in angular space, glad this course was also present, its is very helpful for me. His speaking style is little difficult if you are listening him for the first time, have some patience he's the best person to teach front end tech.

This Course was just what I needed to quickly build confidence. I had just learned JS with a very detailed, extremely helpful course by Jonas Schmedtmann. After completing most of that course, I struggled to pick up and start building a React application and I needed some hand holding. This course gave me enough knowledge of React and context to feel confident in building my own React App. I highly recommend this course AFTER you learn the principles of JS. The instructor goes through the material really fast (...its a crash course) and the only way to keep up is if you know and have practiced some core concepts of JS. Great course though for a quick confidence builder! Happy learning.

This is not for beginners, If you are new to programing stay away! However If you have some experience in software development(hopefully js) and want to dive into the essentials of react now! This might be the course for you. The instructor moves very quickly but does a decent job at explaining things as he moves along. The whole course is under 3 hours so it cover an incredible amount of topic in that time but by the end you have made something that is pretty impressive.

This was the course I needed to begin to understand React after failing with other tutorials. I definitely recommend it as a good starting point for learning React itself. Fortunately, I didn't plan on going through with the deployment because I absolutely hated that section and watched it on fast-forward. As a Windows user, all of the Mac/Linux command line stuff for configuring and deploying was of little use. The recommended service for renting a server was very cheap and hopefully that's why the cryptic DOS-like command line/file editing capabilities seemed so primitive. I'd like to see more of a user-friendly/GUI interface for a hosting provider. Still, for actually introducing the concepts of React itself, this is very beginner-friendly.

Great teaching. Easy to follow and always right velocity. One of the best courses I had on udemy. I need Olexanders React code as basis to create my own application. His solution was nicely explained and organized in modules. I would like to see him also im other courses!!
