Basic JavaScript knowledge such as how to declare a variable and how to declare a function
React Native Framework is a framework for building Mobile Native Applications for IOS & Android. In this course we will learn React Native using Expo Platform. The thing that makes this course special is the way of teaching. First of all, during lessons there will be no assumptions that the student knows any prior knowledge of the topic, teaching with such assumptions can harm the learning process.
The second and most important thing is focusing on fundamentals. This is not a zero to hero course, because we do not believe on this saying. This is the course where you will build a strong base that is going to benefit you in all your later stages of your career.
We will learn Navigation, State Handling, Props, Hooks and lot more.
Structure:
Installation & Setup where we will setup our environment.
Getting Started where we will run our Hello World Application and learn the basics in React Native.

Project Two where we will practice logical statements and simple state.

This course might have been good once. But apparently it is outdated no (8/13/2025). I am installing the programs, Git, Node.js, Expo Cli and discovered the installation for Expo is an old version. The installation routine returned a bunch of messages saying things were deprecated. I copied the email for the instructor from the course and tried to email him for instructions and gmail returned the message that the email address could not be found. I'm now afraid the content is outdated for everything and will probably look for another course to take instead of this one.

I appreciated how the concepts were presented. It has a balance of items for beginner programmers and also some new special items like "useEffect" for more medium to experienced. For improvement, it could explore more items about deployment in phones (and maybe some hints about API tests using Node/React).

This was a great start to getting into android apps through a framework I'm familiar with in react. The in-depth overview of the setup to get these apps running was a spectacular diving board over an intensely common, immediate stopping point to learning a new technology known as environment setup.

It covered most of what I wanted and it was layed out in an ordered and understandable fashion. Great job Omar!

It is mostly focused to Mac users and currently I'm using windows. It doesn't specify if we need to download Homebrew or watchman. And the interface on the videos has changed so it has to be updated.

Pros: Good Starting place for React Native ...other courses I have experienced a Overkill and they are 25+ hours long Code is shared cons: Basics needs to be covered in Detail While making the app --the prototype might have been shared in the same screen in small size as a reference Flow chart about the flow or a slide explaining the components and the application flow( or page involved in that application and how it interacts) ...if shown would be greater. I came into this course already knowing React at an entry level, but everything is explained so well that I now understand the how and why of what I do.

So far GREAT. He explained the process neatly. My only drawback in this course is His fonts are small, he should have enlarged the fonts to look bigger.
