Course Description

Welcome to the course on ‘Narcissistic Behaviour & Relationships: Psychology’.

If you are interested in learning about relationships and psychology, then you are in the right place. Or perhaps you are a therapist, a coach, or a person engaged in self-development and growth, who wants to learn about narcissism and NPD? Perhaps you would like to understand your own experience of being in a toxic relationship or, maybe you work with the clients that have been through toxic relationships (or still in them!) and who want to improve their life for the better?

In any case, welcome to my class! My name is Elmira Strange and I’m a professional researcher, instructor and motivational coach with MPhil in Counselling and Psychology. After completing this course you will have a good and clear understanding of the relationships where narcissism plays a vital role. You will understand the nature of toxic relationships, how to prevent them by spotting the ‘Red Flags’ during dating, and how to set up healthy boundaries in any relationship.

You will also learn about various forms of abuse, and you will understand how ‘gaslighting’, manipulation and control happen within a toxic relationship.

Additionally, in this course you will learn about:

  • the nature of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD),

  • the symptoms of healthy Vs toxic relationships,

  • the ‘signs’ of a narcissistic behaviour ('Red Flags') during dating

  • how to decide 'should you stay or should you go'

  • how to improve the relationship (if you decide to stay)

  • how to separate and 'heal' after traumatic relationship (if you decide to leave)

If you (or your client) ask yourself ‘should you continue with the existing relationship or should you leave for good’, then you will get some answers in this course too.

Finally, if you (or your client) remains in the relationship that is turning toxic, you will understand what is possible to do in order to resolve some issues by setting up ‘healthy’ boundaries.

However, if you (or your client) decide to leave the relationship, in the last section of this course you will learn how to separate from a narcissist effectively and how to heal from the experience afterwards.

If you feel that this course can provide you with some important answers, then don’t wait any longer. Enrol now and I’ll see you in my class!

My father (officially Diagnosed with NPD in 1987) - caused an emotinal aftermath that at one point I wasn't sure it would ever stop - I worked so incredibly hard to break the toxic cylcle only to end up in one of these intimate relationships myself. This course helped my connect the dots to wthe 'why' I may hae been desentized in some areas and likely targeted when I suffered an unrelated traumatic event leaving me dysregulated , confused, and mentally ill. It was then that my best friend of 17 years swooped in - and althogh we had never crossed the line of intimacy - when we did there was a plethora of behaviors which didn't make sense to me- despite my vast knowledge in NPD -)_

The course was filled with some great information. The provided definitions for each section had clear, valuable explanations. The variety of contexts provided me with a great reference point. I am curious as to the percentage for this diagnosis is low and curious to know if the number for woman is increasing or maybe under diagnosed due to other diagnosis or not meeting all criteria. Also curious, if this has anything to do with privilege and or a state of mind and traits. I tend to go back to the rise in Adult ADHD and increased numbers in woman presenting ADHD symptoms. I am curious if you teach any courses for dissociative identity disorder? Your skills and teaching methods used. I have taken 5 courses for NPD and only 2 of those 5 (one of those 2 being your course) had quality information and knowledge to take away and understand reasoning and meaning behind the diagnosis that I am able to have a clearer picture and thought process with my clients and patients. Thank you for the knowledge and expertise you have shared throughout the course. Truly rewarding. I appreciate you providing resources as well. I am a love of learner and do enjoy references I can refer to and add to my collection. Please let me know a few areas you teach and I also will not turn down coupons. Thank you very much for your time and clear and well organized content throughout the time spent in the course. Sincerely, Shay Harris, PhD, LPC, ADHD-CCSP

I've enjoyed the course immensely. Learned a lot and will be able to assist a very special person in my life. Her own experience, living with a narcissist, was an eye opener to me and the knowledge I've gained in this course are worth more than gold to me. Thanks a million for your lectures. Regards. Maria Lock.

yes so far its been very informational I have had a friendship with a Covert Narcissist for the past few years. Everything spoken about here is absolutely true. Gaslighting is in the next segment. That was a huge tool for my friend. It was maddening for me and caused a lot of harm -driving me to counseling. I dont know if i can ever be a real friend to this person. but i know I will have to see her now and then because of the size of our community. understanding why my friend does these things and how I should react to protect myself and possible avoid a RAGE is very important to me.

I think this is one of the best courses I have been taking with you. I was living with a nacissistic person for 20 + years. During last years living together I suspected I was living with one of these individuals. In my undergrad I took apersonality disorders class and open my eyes. Since then I have reading about the traits of narcissistic characteristics. I agreed that what you said about living with one of those person it is very detrimental for our mental health. They try to breack you down at all levels. I have been in court 7 years because he disagreed in many levels about our separation and other issues related aset. It is not easy to think that the person that once i loved have done so much harm to me and the family. They twist the real information in a way that it is credible for judges or those around you. Using a very disarming language. I have been learning a lot more in this course. For me still cannot beliefs that I was living for so long with one of those persons.

I have been suspecting I am married to a narcissist. This course had given me a lot of insights about my husband, but made me introspect myself too. I like how the tone of this course is neutral, unlike other NPD-related courses that are typically made by ex-victims so they can sound more emotional or vindictive. The materials and the presentation are clear and concise.

This is my second class from Elmira and once again I am not disappointed! I would say this class is appropriate for beginners or anyone with prior experience or knowledge and searching for credible up to date information. I would add that no contact really does work. However, if you do have contact - set boundaries, don't react with your emotions and be aware that they love reactions of any kind. I'll finish this review with my favorite quote: "Never wrestle with a pig - You will get dirty! And besides, the pig likes it."

The course is full of 'meaty' information about the Narcissist including the pitfalls of living with a Narcissist and when to leave a relationship with a Narcissist and how to identify someone with a Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) ...and to top it all off, we are living in Narcissistic times. It's a good course and it made me reflect on my behaviour, and my relationships with my family and friends and with other people that I know. After doing this course I will play 'Spot the Narcissist' more often..ha and I will be more considerate in my relationships. Thank You Elmira for the work you put into this course.

A wonderful, and most importantly, very useful and timely course! Thank you Elmira for a deep study of the topic, logical structure and excellent design! I think that a large number of women and men who have studied the course will be able not only to improve their relationships, but also grow personally. It's cool that there are such psychological materials, because they help to independently overcome personal and family difficulties and add happiness to the planet! Thank you very much again for such a voluminous useful work. With wishes of success and meeting on new courses!
