I semi-recently found out about these guys they're legit. Rithm's free JS courses provide a perfect beginner to intermediate step for learning JS. You have to give them your email, but they don't spam and are actually helpful. I also think these guys don't hold your hand and teach you how to think rather than just do this. They also give explanations for why you should do stuff (if you want to read).

I really like Rithm School courses, they helped reinforce things I learned in FCC, but also did a better job explaining some things. They also have many free advanced tutorials to start learning things FCC doesn't yet cover.

These are completely free, but i do recommend you a little bit of experience on coding before you try it out. And i dont mean being an expert, just having write some lines of code :) Its specially wonderful for improving your JavaScript!

I somehow stumbled across Rithm School a few days ago, and it seems to me they have pretty good courses online for free.
