Robot framework REST API testing with JSON schema (Udemy.com)

Overall I would say it helped me incredibly much to get an understanding of how the different components are connected and how to set up test cases from zero. It was time and money well spend. I would have wished for a little longer and detailled explanations in-between, and as some people mentioned before, a bit slower pace. To be fair, I am an absolute beginner in Robot Framework and in Programming overall and the course is meant to be for intermediate users. Therefore I struggled quite a bit with some of the sections and without the help of a more experienced programmer, I would have not been able to finish the course. Since some parts did not work for me, even when I exactly copied the code (e.g. one function requires now more than 1 input in a newer python version, which I did not understand at first). But generally a well structured course that I will keep coming back to.

Yes, i appreciate the way to show the construction of schema and its validation i the first test. My experience was to test something already set, this was an example how it is being set.

Fachlich top! Didaktisch wäre es gut, die Lektionen an der einen oder anderen Stelle in kleinere "Häppchen" zu teilen. In jeder Lektion sollte nur das drin sein, was außen deklariert ist. Dann lieber zwei Lektionen daraus machen. Trotzdem ein Super-Kurs. Danke dafür!

Erg goede training als je API-tests wil maken in Robot Framework. Het is niet de eenvoudigste training, maar door te oefenen en herhalen lukt het om de opdrachten zelfstandig te maken. Ook de API waarmee de opdrachten gemaakt moeten worden is uitstekend. Kortom, boven verwachting!

Very strict and useful for me, But i work on macOS so some small things i can't understand or following you like making bat(shellScript) and mkenv also but all fine. Looking forward the next course from you

The course structure is great, author explains everything well and replies to your questions quickly. The course can be better if it covers a bit more coverage on more topics like Sessions, cookies and how to integrate tests with Jenkins/ Docker.

The Robot Framework content portion of this tutorial was packed full of useful information. This provided a good basis for explaining the various features of setting up a Robot Framework test. Since the syntax was slightly different than usual for a developer, it was good to learn all the different design components that could be used. I did feel that an improvement can be made by providing a broader range of development environments. Specifically my development environment is Linux and I use PyCharm. Since this is a fairly popular tool for developing these tests, I would like to see some content using this environment. I would also like to see more information about testing the specific data inside a rest api response. Overall there was great hands on content and the course instructor was well organized and articulate.

This is a great course! I'am new to software testing and this guy really helped me a lot. You can learn from scratch and be well guided the whole time. The quality of the content and the videos are great. Can recommend! Hope he'll find some time to do even more stuff - like an adanvced session.

This is a really nice course at entry level. I got provided with a great overview of automated REST API testing with python and robot Framework.
