Course Description

SAP BusinessObjects BI (also called BO or BoBJ) is a reporting, dashboarding and analytics platform for businesses. SAP BO suite consists of a number of reporting applications that allow users to discover data, perform analysis to derive insights and create user-friendly visualizations.
SAP BO is intended to make reporting & analysis easy for business users so they can create their own reports and perform intuitive & predictive analytics.
SAP BusinessObjects BI tools use drag-and-drop features allowing users to search and analyze data from a wide variety of sources. SAP BO is a front-end BI platform, so the data is not stored at the application level, but is integrated from varied back-end source databases.
Core applications under SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence suite are:
SAP BO Universe - The heart of SAP BO is the SAP BusinessObjects Universe, a data model consisting of layers of metadata that integrate the back-end data sources with the application layer through meaningful relationships.
Web Intelligence (Webi) - Webi is a web browser based tool that allows users to create reports, perform analysis, produce formatted reports & dashboards, and distribute/share the reports on SAP BO enterprise platform or export them to PDF or MS Excel.
Crystal Reports - Crystal report is a data analytics and reporting tool aimed at individual users or small and medium-sized businesses that need systematic, highly formatted and dynamic reports from a variety of data sources and to be delivered in various formats. These reports can be accessed online or offline, from applications, portals or mobile devices.
SAP BusinessObjects Dashboards (formerly called Xcelsius) - It is a data visualization tool that allows users to create custom dashboards and executive scorecards. These include dashboards, interactive charts, gauges and widgets.
Query as a Web Service (QaaWS) - QaaWS is a tool that allows users to create and publish web services that can be consumed in Crystal Reports and SAP BO Dashboards, as well as other external software applications.
SAP BusinessObjects Explorer - SAP BO Explorer is self-service data exploration tool that enables users to search through large volumes of data from various sources and then create data visualizations that can be shared across the organization.
SAP Lumira - It is a self-service data discovery and visualization tool that allows users to find and analyze relevant business data and create custom interactive dashboards and analytics applications.

A lot of breaks during the course (at the begin of each section and during the lessons). Sometimes the same thing is described again. Lessons about UDT and IDT but UDT is an old version and should not be described.

By James O'Rourke on 7/15/2020

Yes, Very well explained. It would be nice if the content could be edited to remove non-course material periods where the recording continued but there was no instruction taking place.

By Varun Kumar on 6/21/2020

This is not a comprehensible course on BO, Almost 70% of the time they are creating Business Layer. There are so many important aspects of Business Object which is pretty much ignored here. Also so many time repetitive work and no new information is provided.
Webi is covered is details but apart from that no reporting, dashboard tool is covered . Also a roadmap is missing for teaching.

mal sonido. el contenido es bueno

By Robert Lowry on 5/8/2020

Raw video footage, long periods of... nothing.
Author, please edit the video to educational content only.
Seriously, edit your hours long recording and cut out the junk!
Course is 28 hrs long because there is 20 hrs of silence.

By Archana on 4/24/2020

no audio in the last 10 minutes. Very bad

By Nidhi Naveen on 2/27/2020

Good tutor, clear concept and great practical experience.

By Farooq Ahamed on 2/16/2020

The tutor does not have the idea where the query can be seen after creating in a Dashboard designer. He is actually looking the query in an excel sheet but actually the query will be created in the Query Browser of the dashboard.

By SrinivasaRaghavan on 8/15/2019

lot of basic materials, explanation is good. can be more elegant with good business context for various SAP BI modules

Looks good till now

1) At the beginning I thought the video had an error! Never but never start recording on black screen. Instead of it you should have a screen view with course title. 2) That video is one take. Its not bad to be one take, the bad is the quality! Many times its interrupted by surrounding noises from both speaker. Either a baby cries or noise from the crowd. 3) The connection difficulties of your student its none of my business which delays and extend the length of this video. I paid to learn something and not to listen what you went through 4) Teachers must have a prepared presentation and not to draw and write content during the session. Unless you look and you are not well prepared for a paid course 5) cut in editing many parts which are totally out of the scope of the course such as the last part of when you can have a private lesson with your student who works in Dubai! We dont care about your personal calendars but about the course. I hope its not the same quality the rest videos.
