Scala Applied, Part 2 (Udemy.com)

I've been programming professionally in Scala for almost 5 years now. I've been taking some of Dick Wall's courses throughout that time, and even though a lot of it is review for me, there are so many under-the-hood explanations he drops that I just intuitively worked with on a practical level that are really valuable to me. Additionally I still learn some little tricks here and there. I've completed all of the Scala Applied courses at this point (I took them out of order). They are by far my favorite Scala learning material -- succinct, to the point, and organized into bite-size chunks with accessible explanations and sensible examples. I've also done a little of the advanced courses but will continue to fully complete them. Thank you, Dick!

Perfect mix between theory and working examples ! This is the tool needed to understand why some stuffs are built in Scala and how we can actually use them. Thanks for creating these series of courses !

I found Scala Applied, Part 2 to be excellent. It is very practical and steps through concepts at a good pace to learn. The mixture of tests and exercises is spot on. Some other courses I've taken move way too fast and not necessarily practical.

More code along would be great and the videos that explain certain excersises (why something was done specific way )

Slightly better than part one, good explanation of traits with good exercises and nice idea to make a video with solutions, although those were easy. The next module featured very hard exercises, but those were left without an explanation video. Last part with test was a super fast teleport through the topics, but other than that, plenty of topics covered and I appreciate the effort put into preparations and exercises.

Dick explains things very carefully, and the exercises are good practice ;)
