Valentin Despa's course is an unofficial route to the Professional Scrum Master exam, built on the 2020 Scrum Guide. It starts from zero and asks for no prior knowledge, then covers artifacts, events, the Scrum Team, scaling, and terms like velocity and burn-down charts. Sixteen quizzes and two practice tests sit alongside the lectures. More than half of the 14.4 hours is one recorded live webinar, so the core lessons are much shorter than the headline length suggests.

Reviewers mostly praise simple explanations with real-life examples, and several say they passed PSM I on the first attempt, one with 79 out of 80. One of them says some exam questions looked familiar from the practice tests here. That reviewer also failed one course assessment and then found the real exam easier. Complaints are small. One student wanted the live webinar placed before the practice exam, and another found the time limit on written role-play exercises too tight for answers in their own words. Only about 1 percent of the 28,616 ratings are one or two stars.

With 130,327 students, a 4.6 rating and an update in July 2026, the content looks current for the latest Scrum Guide. It is paid, and the exam fee is not included. Passed my PSM 1 today(79 out of 80)! But surprisingly I did not pass one of the two assessments in here yesterday. I think the shock of the assessment yesterday made me feel the PSM 1 went easy on me today! I did see some questions from the exam on the assessments here! Definitely worth the trauma!
