This is a beginner-first path into browser test automation with Python, from the Rahul Shetty Academy. It runs about 18 hours across 117 lectures, and the first eight sections are setup and plain Python: variables, flow control, classes, files, exceptions. Selenium doesn't appear until section nine. That ordering tells you who it's for: manual testers and recent graduates who have never written code and need the language before the tool. The back half builds a Pytest framework with page objects, Excel data, HTML reports, screenshots and a Jenkins job, then closes with interview questions and a two hour Git appendix.

Reviewers keep coming back to the same word: clear. Students say Rahul Shetty breaks each concept into small, digestible steps and demonstrates it with real examples, and reviewers say it is easy to follow even with minimal coding experience. The rating split backs that up, with over 14,000 five star reviews out of nearly 26,000. The complaints are quieter but real. One two star review calls it not detailed enough for the money. A four star reviewer says some prior exposure smooths the ride despite the from scratch billing, another wanted polymorphism and encapsulation covered, and one couldn't get screenshots working or a parameterized Jenkins build to run.

The course was refreshed in March 2026 and covers Selenium 4, so the tooling is current. A great course to refresh and strengthen Selenium concepts. Although the course is designed for beginners and covers everything from scratch, I took it as a refresher to revisit concepts I had learned earlier.
