This is a manual testing primer built around Jira, aimed at people with no software background who want to talk like they have worked on an agile team. In about 10.5 hours and 81 lectures it walks through the QA role in an agile scrum project, test case design, the defect life cycle, test plans, a Bugzilla demo, and a set of behavioral interview questions. Two optional sections cover the test pyramid and basic SQL. Roughly 120,000 students have enrolled since 2015, and the syllabus was refreshed in March 2026. Despite the QA Lead in the title, reviewers treat it as an introduction, not a leadership course.

Students like the plain, example-heavy teaching. Rahul Shetty's academy gets thanks for explaining what QA actually is and for the Jira walkthrough; one reviewer says they went from knowing nothing about Jira to doing the work on their own. Four and five star ratings make up about 87 percent of the 26,000 reviews. The lower-star reviews are consistent, though. Some Jira screens are old, the instructor talks fast and repeats himself, typos distract, and the early Jira section confused at least one learner more than it helped. A few call it more introduction than job prep.

Pace is brisk, so expect to pause and rewind. Compared with the ISTQB prep course beside it, this one skips exam theory and shows tool work instead. It's a sound pick if you want to understand a working QA process and sound credible in interviews. If you need current Jira screenshots or any automation, look elsewhere.
