Our take
Based on the ratings of 3,965 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in August 2024. No course pays to be reviewed.
This is a short, video-only introduction to SharePoint Online for people who use it at work rather than build it. TripleC365 Inc., a corporate training and adoption firm, teaches it. The syllabus shows 36 lectures in six sections, about 3.2 hours in all. Topics include what SharePoint is, navigating sites and the intranet, creating and sharing documents, version history, and file check-out, plus a few advanced features. About 10,000 students have enrolled. Reviewers include complete newcomers, everyday office users, and at least one company tenant admin. No SharePoint access is needed to follow along.
Praise is steady. Of 3,965 ratings, 1,950 are five stars and 1,509 are four. Reviewers call it easy to follow, well explained and usable in daily work, and one says the presenter clearly loves the subject. The complaints repeat. The first four sections run about 100 minutes, and the rest is older content that the course makes students sit through to finish. Several found that annoying and one suggests deleting it. Others call the content high level, a bit repetitive in the second half, and light on finding libraries in a big organization. One wanted a quiz after each lesson.
The course was last updated in August 2024, so it is over two years old. The description says the new sections cover features as of July 2024, but the lessons labeled old are still in the mix. It works as an orientation rather than a deep dive. For newcomers who want a clear picture of how SharePoint fits with Teams and OneDrive, it is a sensible pick, and a few hours is a small ask. Anyone who needs to find their way around a large organization's sites will want something deeper.
Pros
- Short at 3.2 hours, so a busy office worker can finish it in a few sittings
- Reviewers say it clears up how SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams relate to each other
- Easy to follow with no SharePoint access needed, per the requirements and one reviewer
- Presenter comes across as knowledgeable, and reviewers apply the lessons to daily work
Cons
- Sections 5 and 6 are older lessons that must be played to complete the course
- No quizzes or exercises, and some reviewers found the second half repetitive
- Little on navigating a large organization's sites and finding libraries efficiently
I'm just starting out with SharePoint, I've only used it briefly, but this course really recontextualised the things I knew about SharePoint & explained things in a very easy to understand way.
Billed for all levels, but it fits first-time SharePoint users best. No SharePoint access is needed to follow along.

The good - It is a good introduction to SharePoint in a relatively short course. The bad - Some of the subtitles are available only in German and Chinese. - The course includes an outdated version of the content at the end. To complete the course, you must open all the lessons from the old section.

Yes, this course was a good match for me. I believe if I started the course earlier (given the time mandated to complete the course) I would have had a greater appreciation and received the full value of the course. I recommend the course be taken incrementally rather than trying to cram or at least, outside the normal working hours to avoid the distraction.

I'm just starting out with SharePoint, I've only used it briefly, but this course really recontextualised the things I knew about SharePoint & explained things in a very easy to understand way. I also liked how he went through everything - it was easy to follow along with (even without having access to SharePoint).

Taught me what I needed to know on Sharepoint in an easy to follow method. One complaint though: Although there was some new nuggets of information in the sections marked 'OLD'... We cannot fast forward and I had to essentially listen to the whole lesson twice. Remove the 'OLD' to cut the viewing time in half maybe.

This course was really informative. Learning SharePoint is essential not only in workplace but students can also benefit from it. You can easily share your work to your team using it and this course teaches a very detailed information on how to use it effectively and easily.

I was struggling with some of what's supposed to be "the basics" of SharePoint & Teams. They are not intuitive enough that I naturally picked them up just through use. My team was struggling as well and essentially washed their hands of using the tools as they were meant to be used. This course explained 100% of what I needed, without me knowing what I was missing. I took diligent notes to share with my team but ultimately I am going to request they take the course. I am excited to learn more best practices and uses since I understand the tools better!

I really like it. I would of like a paper PowerPoint type presentation with this training that I could print by myself. I'm a hands on learner. So, it's always better to check it out has I'm practicing or working in the SharePoint. This will be my first time in there and would of like to be able to refer to Manual or this presentation again for reference as it is a lot to learn.

Covers the most important features. Definitely gave me a better idea how to set up some things like specific access rights and view version history among others. Also checking in and out files to "freeze editing" will come in handy. Also some basics on how to use and a peak how MS teams is linked to Sharepoint. I would have liked some more focus on the linkage of MS teams and MS sharepoint online. You can also google this stuff, but overall 1.5h very well invested. Definitely faster than googling it. Can recommend this course, given the short time (I watched it at 2x speed for the most part)

This is a great course for explaining SharePoint and how to work in SharePoint. Mostly useful for people just getting into SharePoint. Highly suggest this for the end user to watch so they have a better understanding of SharePoint.

It would have been more helpful to indicate why certain function are useful. Such as lists. I felt this part was a bit unclear. I also wonder if the course is a bit outdates. As I tried to follow in MS Sharepoint, I found some discrepancies between the information in the training and the steps in MS Sharepoint.
